Todays political climate proves my hypothesis that we entered WW2 on the wrong side

Communism, bolshevism, socialism, whatever you want to call it is the epitome of evil. We should have remained completely neutral in WW2 and let Europe to its own devices. The Nazis would have eradicated communism then eventually imploded.

The problem with your argument is many. We hardly had a military and if we stay out we never build it. Then Germany takes over that part of world and could easily invade here afterwards. Or Hitler gets the bomb and blackmails us to surrender. And don’t forget about Japan they were allies of Germany but made enemies of us.

had the nazis been able to put all their forces on the eastern front they beat the russians. hell they gave them a run early anyway kicking their arse in operation barbarosa for awhile. it all went to shite after battle of stalingrad.
shoulda told nazis do not put anybody in africa or western europe go beat the commies. then take them out after they suffer heavy losses taking out the commies.

The discovery of America enriched the West, then the Industrial Revolution furthered empowered them. Thus for 400+ yrs they were blind to the real threat.

Germany having the responsibility of Europe rather than us would have been an incredible blessing for us.
The only argument to justify eliminating them is the Holocaust, and while that is indeed a good reason, I’m not convinced they would have carried it out had they not been cornered and desperate (which was only possible due to our propping up the allies, and our eventual invasion).

Germany declared war on the US. That pretty much set which side we would be on.
What we shouldn't have done is allied with the USSR, and we also shouldn't have sent 90% of our resources to Europe. We should have concentrated on Japan. However, the Navy that defeated Japan was the Navy that our congress approved in 1940, it just took five years to build it, so in the meantime we could have supplied weapons to Europe but not troops, and made the US very wealthy.
One other thing to note is that Mexico and most of the Central and South American countries entered the war on the side of the Allies on Dec. 7 or Dec. 8 1941. Some did so even before we declared war on Japan on Dec. 8. It was a different world then.

Fat Bastard, we’re on fine terms now, but come the frick on. Regardless of my ideology even if I personally was a Nazi, the Nazis would have killed me. They are evil. Stop defending them for frick’s sake.

Have you ever looked at our military pre war? And if we stay out we never have any urgency to build it up. Our factories are not making tanks and planes and ships. We never create the nuclear bomb. Meanwhile Germany would have used every asset of Europe including prisoner labor to build ships
Don’t forget without us England is toast. And the German subs rule the waters allowing invasion once they build ships (pus would have other nations ships).
