Unless you are a legitimate fricking moron, then you'd be correct. "How on earth will i ever get the gas to light if my electric starter goes off?" I mean, this was one of the most moronic posts i've ever seen. I'm impressed.

Right. That gas range makes a hell of a space heater and water heater when those winter storms knock the electricity out.

Wont this disproportionally affect people of color?

And with the marxists trying to ban outdoor grills (looking at you California), couple that with their war on O&G and Natural Gas, the left, essentially, advocate for famine.

Its hilarious. This is a great example of the left creating an issue out of something literally no one is concerned about. Then we get to watch all of the dyed in the wool leftists on this board pretend that the issue is some age-old concern with real consequences for humanity.

Gas stoves are preferred by experts. And by that I mean people who cook or consume food.

Chefs at Quality Restaurants all cook with gas.

Food network chefs all cook with gas.

Culinary schools all teach cooking skills and their stoves use gas.

Why? because the heat can be adjusted much more quickly with gas

He must have one of those solar powered generators. Pretty sure this is his car.

And you get a more even heating. Electric is dogshit, and induction may be better than dogshit electric, but it can't touch gas.

If you want induction, knock yourself out. But don't try to convince a bunch of Southern men who know their way around a kitchen that your green electric is better than gas.

This needs to be quoted again.

People need to know that powerman is not the most stupid person in this thread.

I'll go stick my head in my electric oven. You go stick yours in the gas oven. Let's meet back in an hour.

Lol, my grandfather was a fire chief. You have no idea how many people have burned down their houses playing a game of chicken with a match and a gas line.

And the government can just as easily turn off your gas line as they can with electricity. Unless of course you are living the double wide dream with a propane tank right next to you...

I've had all 3 and would rank them as induction > gas>>>>electric

My family has several restaurants and I have worked in each one for many years. I also had an induction stove in my house when I bought it.

The induction stove was the most finicky appliance I have ever dealt with. I'll admit when it worked, and I mean when it worked, it was awesome. But it was so unreliable. They don't work with every pot and pan. Sometimes it wouldnt even work with pots sold as "induction pots" and would end up not heating midway through your cooking. It was so bad I tossed it out and went back to traditional electric.

There is no way that I can imagine induction being used in a commercial application, especially given the reliability of gas ranges. If they are being used, I'm willing to bet they are in some hipster restaurant that probably rarely uses their stove.

They are used on cruise ships extensively.

All you need is a cheap magnetic when shopping for induction cookware.

Wut. I prefer gas but gas isn't run in my neighborhood and I wasn't interested in a trashy looking submarine in the back yard. Most of the things people are saying about gas are spot-on, most of the things they're saying about electric are somewhat correct but exaggerated if you're using a decent range.

But now electric has less even heating than gas?

No they can't. Government doesn't own any O&G/Natural Gas companies.

I can see Turkey and the Wolf right now, licking their chops to get rid of their gas burners, if only they had the financials to do so.
