Like I said, you gas stove freaks are something else. I've never seen a cooking preference annoy a group of people so much. And it's not like you're in good company. These chefs with gas ranges you all seem to be fawning over are all huge liberals. I bet you loved seeing Jill Biden at her gas stove.

People are clinging to their gas because one side recently tried to legislate what is in your kitchen.

Don’t be disingenuous. Nobody cares what you cook with.

If someone tried to take your induction hot plate, you would be angry too. Your anger would be justified.

Calling an induction cooktop a hotplate is incredibly disingenuous.

These people will happily sell you a gas or induction cooktop.

It doesn’t matter if it is the magical rainbow awesome cooking range.

If everything needs electricity that means you need to use more electricity.

More electricity useage means that it will cost more to use, plus it is easier to control me.

Thanks for proving my point. Simply referring to your indiction stove as a “hot plate” has you offended. Now imagine the government trying to take away your cooktop.

How about you stay out of my kitchen and I’ll stay out of yours?

Only one person in this thread should be embarrassed.

Do I really need to bring it up, punchy?

It’s an absurd overreach and I’m not a but surprised that it pisses people off. It pisses me off and I don’t have gas in my home.

But there are some strange fanboy claims made in this thread and in the original article.

You're a real piece of work. Go back to my first post in this thread and you'll see that I clearly stated the government has no business telling you what you can and cannot have. Use what you like but no need to make up false claims about induction.

You said gas stoves can’t be used when the power is out because the ignition is electric.

About the only thing a gas stove can do that induction cannot is roast marshmallows for smores.

My hot water heater, heating, and range are gas... I really may convert my dryer to gas too...I love gas and the amount of energy not lost in converting it to electricity, and the fact that it is renewable just makes me happy. Unless I can start finding coal or wood fired products!
