Today At a Small Town Grocery Store

I was behind an older black lady today in our local grocery store. She paid for her items with an EBT card. As I walked out to my truck, she loaded her things into her vehicle...... this shite must end.

You should see the car that this guy drives. He benefits from your tax dollars far more than the woman driving the Mercedes. He also pays lobbyists to make sure that the government won’t cut those public benefits.

20 years or 200 years. Only the neediest of the needy should get benefits. If you can scrap up enough money for a Mercedes, you can buy your own damn food.

I have two aquantances, mid-late 30s, that volunteered at a food bank last Thanksgiving. They were handing out meal packages on a drive thru that included Turkey, Ham, and all the associated vegetables and fixings. Really opened their eyes to how much fraud is out there. Said more than half the recipients were driving nicer cars than they drive.

It’s disheartening.. wanting to help and do good, then have to witness that. I’m sure they made a few families very blessed that otherwise wouldn’t have been though- I’d struggle with resenting the freeloaders- I hope they weren’t too discouraged.
