Not sure what's funny about that. It's clearly a true statement.
And techncially, if I put a penny in the bank I'm "saving money". You have no sense of scale, thus, you are gullible. Apparently.

Is that so? I thought we’d hit the debt limit and have to shut down non-essential stuff?

This bill doesn't cut any non-essential stuff. Everything cut in this bill would stay at current levels if this bill does not pass.

Except for the Trump tax cuts. Those would expire.

“I’m trying to make sure we’re in power in 2028. I mean 2030. I mean 2032.

We will cut spending in 2034. I mean 2038. I mean 2044.”

I said the BBB won't pass, so no cuts will happen. This comment makes no sense as a response to the conversation chain you're replying to.

No one here will recognize or admit the reality that true fiscal responsibility would require raising sufficient revenue
Well, the only way rasie enough revenue to balance the budget would mean a *massive* increase on the "middle class".

What no one wants to recognize or admit is that we have a spending problem. Most of which is entitlements. Otherwise, the numbers just don't work.

But we would hit the debt limit, right? That would trigger a shutdown.

I can refute his comment.

Clinton

When has electing a Republican cut the debt?

It’s a dumb premise that only retard scrambling to conjure up an argument to paper over a ridiculous bill would come up with.

So total government spending is decreasing with this bill.

So we will have a lower deficit than in 2024.

Right?

Oh the problem isn't the Republican Party, it's the Republicans in the House and Senate who are opposing this bill.
Exactly! We need more good Republicans like Mike Johnson.

And the things this bill cuts would still be covered at the current levels.

There are only two options. If we're not electing Republicans, we're electing Democrats. It's amazing you need this spelled out for you.

Thing is Gingrich drug him to the bargaining table kicking and screaming. And the national debt STILL went up...

No matter what, some people (like you) are going to complain about any bill... No bill is going to get us EVERYTHING.
