Trump will be indicted and impeached. This action will enrage his supporters further strengthening the percepton that the Deep State really runs the show. Trust in the government will collapse (its already at all time low) resulting in the beginning of the fracturing of the Republic. Secessionist Movements (SM) will be successful in getting the referendum on the ballot in some states. Remember the SM in Texas fell two votes short of getting this on the ballot there.
Already there is a growing distrust in this government, even among millennials. The perception is this government is intrusive and in cahoot with social media.The present Facebook scandal doesn't help either. Furthermore, revelations about the FBI's role in the FICA scandal has damaged that agencies squeaky clean reputation.
The problem I see is the shear number of scandals. Before the introduction of the internet the main stream media (CBS, NBC, ABC) controlled what the people saw and read. That's changed now. Crooked politicians cannot hide their shenanigans and control what news is disseminated.

I've come to the conclusion there is no doubt he will be. It might be some ridiculous unknown law from 1813 which has been used to prosecute someone, once in 1815.
Mueller has been on a non-stop fishing expedition which has nothing to do with Russia and he won't stop until he finds something or gets someone willing to make crap up for an indictment.
If he finds something real, then I have no problem with President Pence. I got all I needed from Trump and won't defend him if they find something real. If it is some garbage never before used law, then I have a problem. Unlike the Hillary Brigade, if Trump broke a pile of real laws, I have no problem with him being shown the exit sign.

Well, that's a cheery prediction.
Your post raises the issue of how important mending fences is after a major political disruption like what would happen if the President was removed/resigned/indicted. Nixon's decision to resign and Ford's pardon really helped tamp down the acrimony after Watergate and the nation was able to move back into the mode of normal politics relatively easily. This could end less well should it come to that.

Trump is not going to be indicted for exactly the reason that it will cause backlash.
They will instead destroy the people around him. This is a powerful signal to people who would be future supporters of someone like Trump.

I voted for Trump and I don't have an issue with the investigation. The problem I do have is that Mueller seems to have lost focus. He is expanded his search outside of the election. What Trump did 10 years ago has no bearing on the 2016 election.
The other issue I have is that up to now, not even circumstantial evidence has been provided that has stuck. However we have seen multiple accounts of potential evidence against Hillary and DNC of possible crimes and nothing is done.

It is the decades of money laundering & tax fraud that will bring him down. I’ve heard that what the Trump Org was doing is a pretty widely known fact in the NYC financial circles. He filed for bankruptcy 6 times and no legit funding source would touch him.
It he goes down it is going to have to be completely clear cut to the point that people cannot argue with it. There is way too much unclear political debate that collusion or obstruction opens the door to.

The report he releases is going to be incredibly damning. Will for sure lay out the case for the obvious obstruction of justice Trump has engaged in to cover up crimes by people involved in his campaign. Probably more.

Mueller is a G-Man through and through. While it is not settled law whether or not a sitting president can be indicted, the official position of the DoJ is that the president cannot be indicted. There is a very good chance that Mueller will decide not to challenge that. In that case, the indictments for Jared Kushner, DJTJ, Page, plus many other Trump associates along with more indictments for Manafort and others already under indictment will make it clear that Trump is guilty of much of what his comrades are guilty of and is only escaping indictment because he is president.

Indicted? Probably not. If he gets wrung up on anything, it probably won't have to do with Russian collusion. We won't know for a couple of years anyway.
