Here’s a simple test to determine whether policing in this country serves its stated objective of protecting and serving - do you feel more or less safe when a cop is behind you in traffic?

There ya go.

All of us, even white men, turn down our music, put the phone down and silently start recounting the last 30 seconds asking internally, “frickkk what did I do wrong?”

Race fetishists seem to think this is a uniquely black experience lol

White children do not live with the paranoia and worry that cops will do this.
Let's see you back that claim up

Why didn’t his father have that conversation with him instead of her?

Then it should be common sense to be respectful to them. Why is it such a big deal in the black community to teach their kids to not act like thugs when they are pulled over? Is it because they don't teach them respect in general?

400 years of slavery, depression and murder. And still getting murdered by no knock warrants , police brutality. A man gets shot at for delivering packages and most of you think it’s part of having a bad day .

I learned that as a young lad sitting on the couch with my dad watching Hill Street Blues. Also learned don’t mix business and personal life from that show.

That's because crime statistics show they can be. My wife and I won't go eat in one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants because the shopping center where it's located has had several shootings in the parking lot recently. It wasn't White kids pulling the triggers.

I didn't realize David Crosby was black.

Must be because I had a flu for Christmas
And I'm not feeling up to par
It increases my paranoia
Like looking at my mirror and seeing a police car
But I'm not giving in an inch to fear
'Cause I promised myself this year
I feel like I owe it to someone

This is bullshite. All she is doing is virtue signaling, there’s nothing “painful“ about any of this. What she is describing is basic common manners. My parents didn’t have to teach me not to talk back to a police officer under the unlikely event I ever had to encounter one. And I was far from a choir boy. That’s not the point. Why do these people feel it’s such a chore to do something which is standard and average?

I suppose I am racist now because I have no idea who this woman is. At least not by her name. Should I have seen her in something? I don’t know, and I don’t care.

Nothing more than a “look at me I’m important !“ moment.

And??

I’m quite confident that I have never heard this name before. Because outside of first her in an Austin Powers movie and knowing a few admittedly damn impressive songs, I don’t follow Beyoncé.

Care less about her mother. Good grief.

She should have told him how dangerous his mom is. You see the TMZ video of her near skull kicking Jay-Z in an elevator. Woman has that “switch” that gets flipped.

Back on topic. Everyone needs to have this talk with their son. Black young adult and white cop anywhere is equal to white young kid and hick town cop.

My folks had the talk with me. Hell I think our school did. Or in drivers Ed. Back when an insurance card was a physical card. “Tell the cop it’s in the glove box before you go grabbing.” Hands 10 and 2 on the wheel until they tell you otherwise.

I’ve seen into the little black hole of a handgun twice. Once was with half assed bravado the other was pure stupidity on the gun owner and the girl being forced to shoot a gun she was terrified of. I did not know my knees and back could bend and fold that way without breaking. Lol

The grandparent jumped in front of the parent to have this conversation then ran to the media to talk about it.

Definitely not virtue signaling......

I remember when I was at a party in high school, and it got busted up by the cops, and I had to call my mom to come get me. When she arrived, I smarted off to the cop who had me, and she gave the sternest look I've ever seen her give, and with the wrath of God quietly told me to shut my fricking mouth, and don't say another word. I shut my mouth and put my head down.

Considering their hundreds of times more likely to be killed by other black people, what sort of talks do black moms have with their children about that?
