He raised a really swell narcissist with delusions of grandeur. To put yourself in front of a camera and not expect criticism for insane takes is quite something.

That's a solid point. The word "privilege" has been so overused as to be essentially meaningless in many contexts now.

The anonymous (or mostly anonymous) medium of internet comments is inherently vapid and toxic. It brings out the worst in people, and it’s a problem for society.
That being said, she needs a tougher skin if she is going to be a social media personality.
All this talk of white privilege, female privilege, and pretty privilege, is true, but only on a very superficial level. Every group has some type of privilege is their own particular situation.
Arguing against pretty privilege is an exercise in futility. The balance is that pretty girls are usually not taken as seriously as the somewhat homely academic type women when the topic is a serious one.
Take, for example, Helen Andrews, the academic who published the very intriguing and influential scientific article, The Great Feminization.
Few people are publicly criticizing her appearance because who cares? She’s a serious social scientists (a very rare breed). And even if they did, I don’t think Andrews would give a hot damn.
