Will muslims eat hogshead cheese?

It's not cheese
But, on this topic stupid seems to be a choice with you. If you are not going to eat "halal" cheese, say goodbye to most mass produced cheeses made in the United States including Tillamook, Kraft and Borden among others as they have been inherently halal for the past 40+ years as the rennet used along Chymosin enzymes are mostly derived from plants because doing so is infinitely cheaper than trying to extract from a pig or cow.
Sooooo if you don't want to eat Tillamook, fine, but it's not because they were forced to be halal. They had been halal without even knowing it. They just added ink to the packaging machine.
But, my guess is you already knew that and were just seeing how many yahoo Bubba you could get to participate in faux outrage.

I mean... getting triggered by a label on a package. When the we become such snowflakes? How long before MAGA starts crying for "safe spaces"?

According to some digging I did in the matter, Tillamook's recipe hasn't been modified since 2016. What makes it "halal" is their use of vegetarian rennet.
It's tantamount to labeling a steak "Gluten Free". Of course it's gluten free, it's red meat.
This move to add the certification to the packaging is purely marketing on their end, but if they don't like the pushback from American consumers then they need to reconsider who they're pushing away as they seek to bring others in.

Same with Layne’s chicken fingers out of college station. They’re expanding to several Texas towns and these evangelical Aggies who eat it up don’t know it’s halal.

It's in such small lettering you have to be looking. My guess is that they switched from animal (veal) rennet for economic reasons. I'm surprised they would have used animal rennet even back 2016 as they were a growing brand back then. Vegetable rennet is about half the cost . Most producers had been using the vegetable derived for almost 40 years.
But eeeeeeven if they were using calf rennet it would still be halal. Muslims have no problem with beef. Plus rennet is a "living" thing as it is a live bacteria.

Not inherently. For meat to be certified halal, allah’s name must be invoked over the meat.

I did not already know it and it is no longer in my home. I will not do business with any entity that does business with people who will kill you for not believing as they do.

I like my options. Besides, the info regarding Halal products has gone viral. Soon, the companies will realize their mistake promoting such nonsense.

Does this mean I can buy Tillamook Mudslide ice cream even cheaper at Albertsons?
Awesome.
Awesome.

Sooooo I'm guessing you won't use any cheese since Kraft cheese is also "halal"? Same with Borden and most European cheeses? You may also want to boycott ExxonMobil, Chevron and Shell and other oil companies as well since they do business with Muslims. You might want to check your airplane next time as well as both Boeing and Airbus do business with Muslims. Probably want to stay away from most potato chips AND Oreos as they are really popular over there as well. BBQ sauces are surprisingly popular there as well.....all halal
Hey, you could just say you don't like their cheese because you don't like the taste of it. You could say that.

Other than yourself and a few rednecks who might bother to look at the labeling, most will not give a shite. I commend you in your abstinence towards dairy derived products. But a burger without cheese really cannot legitimately say it's a burger, can it?

You can have the feels for them while I will not.
