How bout stop with the threats and state your policies and beliefs that's the Republicans problem in my opinion no policy talk its all hate speech. You talk like Trump and platforms don't want him using their product. Its common sense to most people.

Given that my freedom of speech isn’t being limited and these companies side with my view points. I have no problem with it.

yep, and you know who takes down monopolies, right?
you are wanting to be helped out by the same exact thing you CLAIM to abhor... do you really not see the sheer amount of irony of you taking the position you are trying to take?

You mean free market capitalism with no interference? Yes it's not a great thing in reality you need rules and standards and protections in the market to increase trust and quality

I’m pretty sure this will be a thread where people display their misunderstanding of the 1st Amend and Section 230.

Except when those rules and standards aren’t the same for everyone. The elites have their rule, and they get to decide what rule the peasants get to play by.
Weird.
Remember when the left was against “the man”?

If one monopoly is bad, they all are bad. The rules apply to all. Enforce the rules equally or remove them.
If dems want a free for all, let em have it. But it needs to be free for ALL.
No selective protections or prosecutions.

I consider myself moderate but am not a fan of Trump and would have reluctantly voted Bernie over Trump if I had to.
Twitter and Facebook should act as they please in response to their own policies. However, it seems the recent censorship is based on a business decision to appease democratic lawmakers and many employees that lean left.
IMO Apple and Googles actions to remove /warn Parler are mostly justified as widespread misinformation and threats seem to be disproportionately present on that site at this time.
Ultimately the size and influence of these companies is concerning.

There is a massive difference between Twitter and Facebook and tigerdroppings.
Again, steaks and apples are both food. That doesn’t mean they are the same.
Facebook, Twitter, etc utilize algorithms and manipulative tricks to influence what is infront of you. Message boards utilize no such algorithms.
You know they are nothing alike, why do you insist on acting like they are?

I’ve seen the platform/publisher insanity for the last 2 years along with the belief that 1A applies to pvt biz.
