Let’s have an honest discussion. What are your thoughts on the censorship?

You won't get an honest answer from them.

Just like the hate speech thing. They don't realize that if hate speech was banned they would all be in jail or in court for the shite they spew.

They’re shell shocked that they voted for this probably, although they will never admit it

I think Twitter, You Tube, and Facebook are setting dangerous trends.

This is what I’d be interested in reading.
I hope your thread turns to legit discussion and not insults.

These are the talking points they are giving:

It's for safety reasons because a protest at the Capital Building was a violent insurrection on par with 9-11 and Pearl Harbor.

They know best, you see. It's for our own good.

Like any abuser - they wouldn't have to beat us if we just behaved.

Twitter is a private business and has the right to refuse service.

That’s all I want is legit discussion. This is getting unbelievably serious now. These are no longer conspiracy theories that shite like this would happen.

I don’t think anyone disputes that.
But what is your opinion on them choosing to do so?

Censorship rarely achieves its intended goal.

They have the right to do it but it's not the best move.

Those thoughts, beliefs, etc. dont just go away. You just find yourself in a bubble where you no longer hear them.

TD suspended me for like a year for calling someone racist on this board. I didn’t think it was a fair, but they were totally within their rights. Twitter also within their rights.

ETA:
I think what Trump did was much worse and I certainly understand why Twitter doesn’t want him inciting his followers to violence on their platform.
