CNN)As recently as May, rapper T.I. was still firmly on Team Kanye, but that ended Thursday with the latter's much-publicized trip to the White House.

In a lengthy post on Instagram, T.I. said he's been "extremely patient and made it a point to not jump to any premature conclusions about" West and "his antics," but said West's meeting with the president was something of a last straw.
"This is the most repulsive, disgraceful, embarrassing act of desperation & auctioning off of one's soul to gain power I've ever seen," he wrote.

...
"I refuse to associate myself with something so vile, weak, & inconsiderate to the effect this has on the greater good of ALL OUR PEOPLE!!!!" T.I. wrote.

This T.I.?

quote:

T.I., 28, was arrested after trying to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers from undercover federal agents in 2007. That came after the rapper's best friend was killed following a party in Cincinnati in 2006. The rapper has said the bullets that killed his friend were meant for him.

The self-proclaimed "King of the South," T.I. had faced a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each charge in his three-count indictment. However, he reached a plea deal with prosecutors after spending time on house arrest before his sentencing and speaking before community groups and high schools about the dangers of drugs, violence and guns

Why should we care what an ex-con that can’t even vote thinks?

T.I is helping round up stray black people that wandered off the Democrat plantation.

That guy might as well be riding a horse and swinging a whip as he chases the escapees.

Wonder how our model citizen here feels about how much lower the black unemployment rate has been under Trump and the 400% increase in black owned businesses. Did he also consider the effect on his people when he tried to acquire machineguns?

This is a little disappointing, I know it sounds stupid when considering his arrest records but TI is actually a pretty smart individual. I figured he'd be all about one thinking for themselves, at least.

I just don't understand how anyone could consider a meeting with POTUS as damaging or "setting the entire race back." Especially true when discussing things that disproportionately affect your race and the meeting was to discuss fixes with an open mind.
