Is one of the smartest guys on the planet the right guy to be reshaping the Federal government? Probably.
We've tried smooth talking lawyers for a century and they seem to just make things worse.

The state of the union is in such a mess that to fix things it’ll take a bold plan and leaders will have much more power from the idea of they are making big decisions to fix things. Musk is a disruptor so that seems necessary.
With Musk my biggest worry is he seems to have no grounding as far as Judeo Christian. He does share passionate thoughts about freedom and people being free though not something God Given.
Also, in my opinion Neuralink and what they are looking to do def. flirts with playing God. The precedence here opens up for some serious evil activity in the hands of bad actors.

I was fine with his promise to do tariffs. I just didn't think he'd get stupid with them. I don't know who convinced him to only tax china at 10%. The 25% should have also applied to China.
All this will do is solidify China as our #1 trading partner.

If this effort was all GOV, and not from outside the GOV, do you think you'd be hearing things like:
Treasury officials never turned down an invoice in their careers even if they knew it was fraud or terrorists.
Air Force was paying $1250 each for paper coffee cups.
$50 million was going to Gaza for condoms
IRS was paying $300,000 a year for coffee when no one was working at the office
This has been in one week. You didn't hear that much in a year under previous admins.
Edit: Remember, W. Bush tried to get a bipartisan panel to come up with ways to save SS and they couldn't do it after wasting $millions meeting. They did nothing. This was after no one in Congress had the b@lls to privatize. The GOV is not the place to find people like this.

That’s true. It cost Musk considerably less to buy America.

That's an *additional* 10%, not an *only* 10%.

Shouldn’t Trump consider someone else calling the shots? I don’t disagree with a reshaping of the federal government but rather who is doing it.
Trump has probably already run out of trustworthy people in DC, therefor Musk.

How is Musk calling the shots? Everything he is doing at DOGE is straight from DJT’s campaigns … in 2012!

I don't see the need for our government to have a market valuation. If we did have one, and it was high, I would say get rid of most of it and give me my money back.

Many people thought the tariff thing was a negotiating tactic that wouldn’t actually be implemented.
You have to prove you aren’t bluffing sometimes in order to start real negotiations
