You know I do. I post hear every day.
Of course the press will be negative towards any Rep candidate, but if you are honest, there was an unnatural hatred of Trump that DeSantis could never elicit.

If DeSantis is truly the candidate I want (and who I presume YOU want) he undoubtedly will elicit that.

I certainly will as well. I just think DeSantis would be more electable. Just think of all the Rep. women who either didn’t vote for Trump or voted against him because of their perception of his personality.

Not the weeping and gnashing of teeth we saw with Trump. Only my opinion.

I’ll add this, what Trump offered in 2016 was new and exciting. If you’ve seen any of his latest interviews, they are simply the same old, same old. He came on Hannity last night and I was in the other room, but could hear the audio. After a few minutes , my wife, also a Trump fan, turned the station.
I said,” same old stuff huh?” She said yes.
DeSantis would be a fresh start.

There can’t be that many people that support this Dem agenda. In 4yrs the economy is likely going to be in the ditch.

This I have a hard time believing. About anyone, frankly. You could put John Kasich or Jeff Flake in that spot, and the media would immediately paint them in the worst light imaginable.

I should supplement this to say: I love both candidates at the moment, but Trump gets my nod because I'm a sucker for redemption arcs.

Nailed it.

Too many people vote on emotion these days. Whether it be Trump, DeSantis, or even Romney/Flake/Kasich, the media would paint them as devil incarnate and drum up emotional opposition to them to where all the suburban Karens will fall right in line.

Trump needs to be what Obama is to apple sauce for brains. Let Trump pull the strings, let DeSantis get it done.

1) Age. Though Trump is in good health and has seemingly inexhaustible energy, he will be 78 in 2024. For me, that’s too old to start a term.
I think he's better than anyone else on deck, but I get this line of reasoning.

This also emphasizes how bad it absolutely sucks that he was robbed of a second/consecutive term.

3) DeSantis ....but who hate the present direction of the Dem party, would vote for DeSantis

There are Dems who hate the present direction? They sure aren't very vocal if there are any or they're numbers are so few they are rendered useless.

6) Lastly, I think DeSantis is more polished. And though he is a staunch conservative and not ashamed of it, his delivery is not quite as abrasive as Trumps and more eloquent.
Of course he's more polished, he's a politician. Trump's abrasiveness is, at least, in part what got him elected (twice). I'll grant you that his demeanor/delivery may not be welcomed now that the media has been able to dupe enough people that OMB and thus he may not be acceptable in 2024.

I don't think this is possible. Don't get me wrong, those evil MSM bastards will still do everything they can to support the Dem candidate. I think they'll be less blatant about it.

I disagree, the media will attempt to paint DeSantis(or whatever Republican runs) as even WORSE than Trump, and how they would rather have Trump and how Trump wasn't even that bad.

It's coming. No matter who runs.

Of course, it's not relevant now.

It's kind of amazing it didn't gain more traction than it did when the media put out this BS.

I’ve spoken to two Biden voting never-Trumpers who, without hesitation, say they’ll vote DeSantis over Biden or Harris. I disagree with you. DeSantis brings in what Trump did plus some of the center because of his educated demeanor.
