Shooter was contained. I’m not knocking her for doing it, I completely understand why she did.
Now that we know her kids were not in any danger, she undoubtedly put herself and her kids at more risk of being shot.

You do not know that they were not in danger. For all we know repeated rescues by parents might be the only thing that prompted LE to do something. Oh wait, Not sure they did a damn thing. It was all done by a barber and his customer.

A mother or father who knows their child is in inside, not much will stop them from going no matter the unknown danger...
A cop has no emotional connection ....he goes into situation hearing gun fire, "what do we do in training? this is real, good god I might die today"

The one thing I find odd about the story, is that she rescued her kids, and what, left the others behind and at risk?
