Sure he can, read the documents instead of guessing. He can not run for President a 3rd term, he can run for V.P. thus if the President passes on or retires he's the President.

Loopholes are found in laws every day. Seems like we have a couple or three guys with TDS on here, lol.

He needs to get back to doing what he said he would do in his second term..We didn't vote for a takeover of Greenland, or making Canada a state.

The Democrat party is a complete dumpster fire right now full of people that can't control their emotions, this is a play at those people. This is more fuel for the fire to enrage the left even more and incite them even more. Good, bad, or indifferent this will cause the left to melt even more and show how unhinged they truly are.

He cannot be the VP because the VP must meet all of the eligibility requirements of the president (which he cannot do as he will already have served 2 full terms)

One simply does not troll in order to gain anything in return. They who troll simply do it for the love of the game.

Is that somewhere in the constitution that I missed or in the amendment? Serious question

I asked ChatGPT and did not get that result.

I theoretically could see a way where he would be third in line if he was speaker of the house But there would be a definite constitutional issue if you were to run as a VP - Hypothetically of course

I'm gonna be honest I don't like this. Our government has worked for over 200 years

22nd Amendment was 1951.

Over the years, several presidents have voiced their antipathy toward the amendment. After leaving office, Harry Truman described the amendment as stupid and one of the worst amendments of the Constitution with the exception of the Prohibition Amendment. A few days before leaving office in January 1989, President Ronald Reagan said he would push for a repeal of the 22nd Amendment because he thought it infringed on people's democratic rights.

In a November 2000 interview with Rolling Stone, President Bill Clinton suggested that the 22nd Amendment should be altered to limit presidents to two consecutive terms but then allow for non-consecutive terms, because of longer life expectancies.

A new amendment could allow it.

What do you think the chances are of getting 2/3 of the state legislatures to approve it?

Well, for one who would ever give up their Presidency for another man? But with Trump is is MUCH DIFFERENT, he's dismantling the deep state one brick at a time, he's been persecuted by these evil anti American greed merchant of cowardice for 8 plus years. no other president has had to go through that, he needs to finish the job, I think JD would sacrifice for the nation. He has actually won THREE TERMS and we all know it. so if you really won three terms, you should be able to serve three terms.

Only Reagan could have won anyway, and his mind was fading, JFK was shot, Johnson only served one term as did Bush 1, Clinton's term had become very tawdry, Bush 2 was hated by the time he left, Obama had to steal his 2nd Election.

He could also be elected Speaker of the House and both JD and his Veep could resign. Newsweek has professors saying this is possible today.

The law is the law.

Exactly this. Since his inauguration, Trump has turned loose so many rabbits for his opponents to chase, they can't keep up with the important events.

It's more interesting than that. Per the 22nd amendment, he can't be ELECTED to a third term. He could create an interesting situation by announcing that he was running for a third term anyway.
