This State is BS. Trying to call DMV for 3 weeks and cannot get a return call or email.

What I need can not be done in local office you have to call. Keeps telling me they have high call volume and hangs up. 3 weeks I have been trying.

You may just need to go to an office in a bigger city (if you're in a small town).
If that fails, start calling the higher-ups directly. When they tell you to call the 800 number, tell them you have been calling and emailing for weeks and not gotten a single response and because of that you have no other choice but to call them each day until someone gets in touch with you.

Of all the idiocy in Louisiana - this is the worst.
You can't go to the DMV. You have to call. But nobody answers. When you don't get a busy signal.

shite like this is why I overpay to use an “express” DMV.
I still get fricked hard but at least they are a two pump chump at it if you pay the extra fees.

The DMV is the dregs. Have literally spent 45 min on phone with some drone in Baton Rouge getting transferred to "someone who can help me" only to wind up back with the first person I talked to and then getting put on hold, only for the call to drop. Just more bureaucratic bullshite courtesy of the state of Louisiana.

You are the third person I know that I've heard this from. Almost impossible to get any services. I personally watched a friend of mine stay on hold for 3 hours only to be hung up on when a menu finally responded. He was trying to get a ticket removed from his record for a car he sold 3 years prior.

For all the things we suck at AR is pretty good when it comes to the DMV. I have had very few problems in person and most stuff can be taken care of online.

Went through the same crap. Had to try to get a correction on cancelled insurance on a car we sold. I had to call my State Rep. Wayne McMahen. He got the job done!

Just call your state representative and your state senator and give them hell about the DMV.
