One thing I’ll say is those premiums on the left look similar to most states.

It all depends on whether you’re self employed or have kids.

Also if you have a high deductible plan.

there is no way this is accurate. there is no way that Chucky is comparing the same person with an unchanged situation, and those are the correct numbers.

Your first mistake, is your operating off of the fallacy that Chuck Schumer is telling the truth.

So they basically go up to a price point that’s not even what we have already been paying,

I will make a guess. They are subsidized ACA Marketplace plans. Tax payers are paying most of the premium.

You should learn more about the healthcare mess you democrats started with Obamacare and massive subsidies in New York.

quote:

Schumer isn't fabricating the projected hikes; analyses from KFF and others confirm ACA marketplace premiums could more than double in 2026 for many New Yorkers if enhanced subsidies expire. These temporary credits, expanded under Biden-era laws, end this year, and Republicans oppose permanent extension amid trillions in added costs. Blaming one party overlooks that subsidies masked rising underlying premiums from healthcare inflation and insurer adjustments.

So yeah, New Yorkers should be pissed off at themselves for voting for the Democrats who caused this inevitable failure.

You're reading it wrong.

YOU are paying those differences as a subsidy.

ObamaCare is doing what it was designed to do. A forced failure of the existing system to allow for a government takeover under the "emergency" created by the breakdown of the system.

When I started working for the Canadian company in 2001 my family plan, which was very generous, was something like $25 a week for medical and dental. I never signed up for vision.

I was told New York and California doesn't need subsidies. Was told their economies carry the rest of the US.

The ACA is doing what they intended it to do. Keep people relying on the fricking government.

I hope the Republicans ride this shutdown into the fricking sunset. When it's all said a done, the Democrats might not win another national election in my lifetime.

It’s almost as everything Obama did led to the devastation of conservative values… I’m sure it’s just a coincidence…

LOL! That's crazy. If I am paying a couple hundred a month for premiums now and then over a thousand next year, the average voter wiil blame Trump because "I am sure he could have done something if he wanted to because he is the man in charge there in Washington" or some such track of thought.

President is like QB of a football team in many citizens eyes. All the credit and all the blame when things go good or bad.
