You can choose to accept the truth or you can mock it.
One way, the right might start winning elections again. One way, they won't.
Thank goodness for the founding fathers and the concept of the electoral college. Otherwise the last GOP president would have been George H.W. Bush. (cause Gore probably gets re-elected in 2004).

Ooh... boomer is mad. Mad boomer! Bad boomer!
Go look at the houses in Metairie that are for sale... many ain't been touched since the 70s and still want 150 plus per sq ft.

So for all you boomers just saying "work harder"... this is the ultimate "OK Boomer" moment...
The phrase is not "work harder," its set and reach adult goals. No one who is working a minimum wage job should have their site set on a new house or a new car. Those are entry-level jobs. The next thing you do is reach adulthood and take up a trade or put in a little effort to find a job where you have growth potential.

no but in the 60s you could finish high school and go get a job at the local Ford service department and buy a house while your wife stayed at home and raised kids. Something changed
What's changed is young people these days are lazy, of course. Yup, that's it. Lazy.

A lot of us had grandfathers that worked for barely above min wage in the 70s and yet still owed a house, etc.
That is PURE bullshite.
I got out of college in 1990. ALL of the hourly guys I've worked with that were from that generation made 100k per year because they BUSTED THEIR ASSES W OVERTIME. So did truck drivers and guys pushing brooms.
And not in adjusted dollars either.
Same plants I still go to to this day tell me how they've had "Help Wanted" signs on the outside of the plants for 25 years now and can't fill spots that pay 80 grand a year to start and 125k after 5 years. NO COLLEGE REQUIRED.
Why can't they fill these positions?
Young generation doesn't want to get hands dirty. Doesn't want to stop smoking their weed. Doesn't want to work overtime or shift work. Doesn't want to live in starter homes or save money.
Those jobs are still out there all over the place. Anyone that says otherwise is a liar.

Truer words cannot be spoken.
He's focusing on minimum wage. That's laughable to the point he's trying to make. But, it reveals who he is. He honestly thinks he (and everyone else) is entitled to these things. In his mind, minimum wage needs to mean new home, new car, etc.
Marxism makes a ton of sense to those who cannot compete and who don't even know what the reasons are that they cannot compete.

Why do they support policies which exacerbate the problem?

The truth is the left is making life unaffordable for tons of people. You are clueless and constantly espouse the leftist approach that has BURIED you.
In short, you aren't smart.

They're unhappy because they feel entitled. They foolishly believed that getting college loans for a degree that had no career prospects was a good idea, and now they're paying for it.

Fox News has ruined you. I don't know what else to say.
It's turned your brain into mush.

Right. It's me, the mid 40s guy who has life reasonably figured out whose brain is mush...not you the guy who isn't even asking the right questions, completely ignorant on how things work, and admittedly is unable to figure out how to achieve the American dream.
It's soooooo much easier to blame Fox News (which I don't watch) than it is to look in the mirror.

Life is more expensive now for sure. Destruction of the dollar, two income homes becoming commonplace, foreign investment in real estate etc. It will all come crashing down at some point. Just not sure when.

Took the wife to the theater to see The Batman in IMAX the other day and it was a $40 ordeal.
