So you agree that divorced people who remarry are living in sin if not for one of those reasons? When Charles Stanley got divorced he said he couldn’t remarry as long as his ex wife was still alive.

Not trying to argue, but I don’t understand the Church’s hyper aggressive stance towards gays and not other sins.

I've yet to see people celebrating the institution of divorce in a church with song and dance.

Just playing devils advocate here, but I believe remarriage after divorce is also a sin. So a marriage after a divorce within the church is kind of a celebration

It's pathetic.

My wife was raised Catholic and I was raised Catholic Lite (Lutheran).

We're now attending a non-denominational church comprised mostly of former, disenfranchised, Catholics, Lutherans and Presbyterians ... and we're loving it.

There are churches all around us in civil war trying to break away from the big evangelical corporate overlords that have been taken over by the leftists.

Good will win in the end. Of that I have no doubt.

As one poster pointed out, divorce isn't celebrated.

I will add that there are biblical grounds for divorce in some situations. There are no biblical grounds for sodomites and revelers of such.

If Islam can conquer the USA, this problem will be solved.

Maybe because the queers insist on dancing in the pulpit preaching sin is good and love is love.

They/them are emotionally and psychologically deranged and have no idea the first thing about what the cross means or anything about scripture and should never be preaching anything to anyone

Uhhmmm your evidence is anecdotal, to say the least. There are extremists nuts in every category that are NOT the norm. I know lots of churches, including mine, that still preach against phaggetry, along with all the Truth of God's Word.

Not all churches do this.

Also... there are biblical grounds for divorce. There are no biblical grounds for celebrating sodomites.

I didn’t realize this. I grew up in a very conservative Baptist church and I believe they married divorcees. Which I believe Jesus mentioned as a sin

I used to work out at the gym with a Catholic priest. He said they require a pre-marriage meeting. It's designed to reconsider marriages that tend to end in divorce.
Me: 'So, do you ever advise them to back off the marriage plan?'
Father Bob: 'Rarely. But it's usually with a white woman marrying a Muslim man. We advise her of statistics that indicate the man changes quickly after the wedding and becomes very demanding and physically abusive. Most end in divorce.'

How do you feel about a church initiated dance to celebrate divorcees?

It’s funny watching you groomers chastise Christians knowing full well you’d never have the balls to question any Muslim about their beliefs

I am not a Baptist, my aunt and uncle are- Southern Baptist.

Funny story, they've been married for 50+ years... he was a Deacon at his church. When they joined the church in the 1970s, they were already married.

Decades pass... somehow the church found out that he was on his 3rd wife- his first two marriages ended in divorce... even though his 3rd marriage was lengthy and in tact, they removed him from the Deacons over it.

They quit the only church they'd ever been in fellowship with over it. They now attend a non denominational church that lets him Deacon despite his divorce history.

This is one of the reasons why the Regulative Principle of Worship is so important.

That display is a disgrace and an affront to a holy God.

We don’t celebrate or take “pride” in them.
We help them renew or restore their relationship with Christ.

Yep, it is "cosplaying" -- and that's why it ain't "Christian" by any stretch, brutha.

Just yesterday I passed an alleged "Protestant" church that flashed a rainbow flag along side the weekly church message.

The Bible has prophecied former Christian churches falling by the wayside, absorbed by Satan's minions.
