Yes , Progressivism has morphed into the PUNISHMENT phase for Incorrect Speech. It enforces the Orthodoxy and it punishes those who transgress against the Orthodoxy.

I work with people of differing political views every day, many who voted for Hillary. It would never cross my mind to think about how I could screw them over such a thing.

Leftists have an immature pettiness coupled with an absence of respect and common decency it seems.

Seriously who seems more immature? Leftists. More petty? Leftists. More disrespectful? Leftists. More indecent? Leftists.

If this is even true (and I doubt that), it is a mistake to bring up politics at work because some people aren't mature enough to handle a conversation about it.

I think the DU post brings that point home very well. The poster isn't mature enough to handle it, and he is letting his perception of politics get in the way of what could be a good professional or personal relationship (that's assuming he's being truthful).

Most of the people I work with are vehemently anti-Trump. They are open about their hatred of Trump and how much they look down on his supporters. I would not express those opinions openly if I had them.

Spot on. I almost describe it as "Total Warfare", but on a social and cultural scale. Leftists deem any scalp, no matter how small, a victory. There is no quarter granted to non-combatants. Hence why they will try to ruin the lives of anyone from a national politician to some random guy who tweets something they don't like.

Maybe...but most of them are awkward people who were bullied or didn't fit in. They almost never deal well with direct confrontation.

Know what would be fun? Figuring out who this guy is and letting his employer know that he would be willing to actively and passively screw them over due to a hissy fit.
