That's fine if the ultimate objective wasn't to win the general in 2024.
And that's the problem - Trump can't win. If Trump is the nominee, the GOP cannot win. Arizona and Georgia and Pennsylvania (Trump and Doug M on the same ballot would be a absolute embarrassment) are completely off the table. And without those states the math isn't there.
