I think its more just a case study of a self-absorbed narcissist with a low EQ.
Its very common among people with multiple degrees, particularly from top schools because they've been told how smart they are their entire life. Therefore they think they've already learned everything there is to know and that most everyone around them is pretty much below them.
Therefore they talk, don't listen much and once they reach a publicly stated position they never re-evaluate their conclusions when new facts become available unless they can blame someone else because their narcissism won't allow them to be wrong.
When you consider our last decade or so in America it actually explains much of the divide between the two sides. Once a narcissist digs in on something they will never, ever admit to being wrong.
And unfortunately in 2023 due to pop culture and social media we are a nation of narcissists.

I know that when his first post was quickly debunked once they showed both sides of the kid's face, he doubled down saying that may be even worse because of something to do with the Mexicans and whites are racist. I know my post doesn't make much sense, but neither did the guys rebuttal

I would email Jarvis if I agreed or disagreed with his columns from time to time. usually responded, was polite, and could handle a different opinion. He is the guy you could have a real conversation about race with over a couple of drinks.

Had a sales manager this way, and I learned how to get the things I needed. I would always tell him I thought about his solution or idea how to handle an issue or a customer and agree that is the correct way to go, and then state what I wanted to see happen.
