No. It's not even close.
Expanding gambling has nothing to do with me as a taxpayer. It allows for more individual liberty. I can choose to either participate or not. I contribute zero to the gambling industry.
I, however, do contribute to the public school system. I am a taxpayer. I can voice an opinion on what I feel is appropriate or necessary curriculum for my child in the public school system. That is my right as a tax payer.

I do. Yes. But that also doesn't negate my right as a tax payer to voice displeasure in the public school system either.
And unlike in your other examples, I do not have the right to stop paying for the public school system.
