So you are not a fan of them being taught this, but you have been arguing with everyone that says that are not a fan of this?
I'm not a fan of it... but I'm also not saying it should be banned... which is the difference between me and others.
I don't have to agree with 100 percent of what my kids are being taught. That's the cool thing about life. You can disagree.

You don’t have children obviously. You’re clueless. The need for kids to learn that garbage is infinitesimal. There’s millions of other things they could be learning.
I have three kids, one of which is in second grade. I fail to see what the issue is about this banner or whatever it is, that makes it so offensive. It is just terms defined.

I have no choice in the public school system.
Too bad you don't live in NOLA!! Then you would.
We looked at four different private schools in NOLA. All of them taught common core math. They all had the same reason - because those are the books that are available.

Any teacher that decides to teach this in second grade is automatically a SJW?
Yep. Book it.
Either that, or they’ve got a de facto gun pointed at their head by an SJW administration.

I don't think it should be banned.

I don't either. And if it reaches a certain point, I would act upon it.
You are trying to peg this into a very black or white situation here.
It's quite dishonest.

So since that teacher has that stuff up there, especially for 2nd grade students, then it must mean they will be tested on it correct?
So, I'm just wondering when the State of New York added gender preference terms to the 2nd grade exit exam.
I don't have access to the second grade test in NY. I can tell you that if teachers are spending time on topics not covered on the test... that reflects very poorly on their evaluation. I know this because I know many teachers who spend time on things not on the test, and it reflects very poorly on their evaluation, to the point where they no longer do that.

That's not me.
I'm saying I don't have an issue with it.
Others are saying it should not be taught, should not be taught at that age, and only parents know when to teach it.
That's the black and white part.

Why does what other people do, bother you so much?
If you don't like gay couples, don't be part of a gay couple.

The leftist have decided for the last 50 years what we should remove from schools that were part of the curriculum. Come on now.
You - as an individual parent - don't get to decide that.
This is not a complex topic.

That's actually a really good cheat sheet.

What makes you think that anyone here wouldn't change schools, or at least, teachers?
The fact that rather than saying... ooh if my kids teacher did this, I would change schools... y'all are saying "this should not be taught in second grade".
It's just like the guy from the LA Family Forum this morning on the radio ranting on and on about how we should not expand gambling/gaming in LA. If you don't want to gamble/game, then don't do it. That's your choice. But why do you feel the need to tell others they can't have a choice?

Yet you agree with them
You just assume that they 1) have children in school and 2) these children go to public or private school

I would seem to me that any parent that felt strongly about this would change schools.

This is an awful comparison.

Have also noticed a weird phenomenon amongst some on here, where they equate anyone engaged in a discussion criticizing certain things to meaning that person is somehow demanding a "government ban" of such things. Here, literally nobody said such thing.

Well yeah, because...
1) if they don't have children in school (or had children in school) then... like most of us... their opinion may change once they actually do have kids in school
2) No one in here has said they have kids and homeschool them... so I think the assumption that they are in private school or public school is a pretty safe assumption

no... it's dead-on accurate.
The right in this country love nothing more than to try to control what others can and cannot do with their own lives.
To be fair... so does the left.
At least the left doesn't say they are for "small government" and then tries to use government to control you. The left comes out and says they want government to control you.

I said nothing about not liking gay peoples.

So you are fine with gay people, but you don't want kids learning about them in school?
Do you actually believe yourself?
