All societies in human history have eventually devolved into some form of violent collapse, be it internal or external. I find it interesting that most Americans seem believe we’ll be the first exception to the rule.
I don’t think this is our time, but I guess it could be. More importantly though it’s always been an inevitability.

There certainly some truth to your statement.
Personally I thought we had quite a ways to go yet. But we have been hastened in outer decline by anti-social media, which as far as I can see is a tool of the totalitarian state.
