Yes. Yes we really do.

Exactly how? I'm not attacking the Catholic church by any means, but you don't experience Christ at a deeper level than I do simply because you are Catholic. You just don't, despite your views on the Eucharist/Communion/The Lord's Supper.

It is ALWAYS GREAT to be CATHOLIC, the “…one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church.”

You know…the one started by Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Amen, Amen, I say to you ….. never too late to taste and see….get with the program.

We have no desire to live rent free in your heads.

Pissed about what, specifically? If they are here legally, then they don't have anything to be pissed about.

While we’re on the topic of failed leadership, do you ever wonder why someone dealing with war, inflation, mid term battles, and stuck legislation spends a large part of his day engaging in social media childishness with a religious leader with which he has no affiliation? Whatever happened to the wall?

Oh and btw, I’m glad you’re not Catholic as well

Not really, read the history of how Catholic were treated in the early and mid 1800's in and around the north east. (i.e. Catholic were prevents from owning land in many places, taxed higher than others in many places, the justice system was definitely not balances when it came to Catholics.)

I'm sure this goes back to the 1500's and the reformers. Every time the have a disagreement or want to change something they break off and stary a new church. Then attack the ones they left to legitimize their decisions.

Yes, as I clearly stated in the OP:

You're calling me ignorant? You might want to look up the definition of the word "tenants".

It was far worse to be a Catholic during the Diocletian persecution of the late-3rd/early-4th centuries. President Trump attacked the pope? Whoopty-friggin-doo. Napoleon had the pope imprisoned.

this is what they never get, what were the protestants doing in the 4th century answer nothing because the bible hadn't been translated into english so they could find all kinds of goofy schit in.

Welcome to the club.

Most people who are not neo-cons understand that US involvement in Vietnam was a huge mistake, and that the justification for the 2003 war on Iraq was based on false pretenses.

Yes, they documented it in their 1964 publication of Lumen Gentium.

“Do you realize how many Catholics vote Republican?”

Do you realize how many Catholics vote for Democrats.I went to Catholic schools 12 years, also come from a large Catholic family many of which go to church faithfully, recieve communion, etc.
I never bring up politics or religion, don’t really Iike to discuss religion or politics.Invariably some of them will bring it up to me,usually to bash Trump.

The conversations always go the same way,”you vote for Democrats, the party that advocates for abortion, want to cut off little boys penises, etc.”
Then I ask them what kind of mental gymnastics they go through to vote for politicians that advocate for all sorts of perversions that the Catholic Church condemns. Then they start getting pissed, they can’t justify it.
Then I tell them “you are a cafeteria Catholic which is a nice word for hypocrite.”
They really get pissed off then the conversations always ends and they don’t speak to me anymore which is fine with me.

My background is I was a cradle Catholic, altar boy,12 years Catholic school, stationed in a Catholic country(Spain),worked in a Catholic hospital.
The hypocrisy I experienced in all the above soured me on the Catholic Church. There are hypocrites in every religion but what I experienced was off the charts.Besides, there were things I was taught I didn’t believe, had some bad experiences also.
Been Southern Baptist good many years now, feel much more comfortable.

Actually a cafeteria Catholic is someone who dissents from the teachings of the Church. The proper word for that is "Protestant".

(Use that line and it will REALLY piss them off.)

I am indeed. Went to a non-denominational church Sunday. Not into spats between Christians-I leave that to the angry, judgmental, holier than thou, direct line to God crowd.
