He did this back on January 11. He called for an end to the violence and for peace and dialogue to prevail.

C'mon man...that's not at all a legitimate comparison! What power does the pope have? Does he make laws and set policies that affect millions upon millions of people? And of course, you'll say he does.
Is he up for re-election every 4 years, where the voters who aren't pleased with his performance can oust him and replace him? Again, no comparison.
Maybe you and the Pope should consider less talk, and more listening.
