Former NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom has declared himself a WNBA prospect, says he meets every requirement necessary.
The 6 ft 10 in, 250 pound player says he reviewed the WNBA eligibility criteria and has decided to declare himself eligible for the 2027 WNBA draft.
The announcement comes after some WNBA coaches and players have announced their support of men in women’s sports.
“My team and I have carefully examined the WNBA’s eligibility criteria and governing framework surrounding self-identification and inclusion,” he said. “Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in April 2027.”

League starts two decades ago and nobody knows' it existed.
Britney Griner getting thrown in a Russian prison for weed may be the best thing that ever happened to the WNBA from a publicity standpoint.
Now they struck gold by latching on the race / gender / culture war.
Now you got Clay Travis trolling the shite out of them by baiting them to lose to a HS boys team.
Now they gonna draft a 250lb dude and have him wreck shop (which people will tune in to watch).

What I can’t really see is the ball in men’s volleyball. It’s ridiculous how fast they hit
But the powers that be missed the mark when they were deciding which women’s sport to push on us. WNBA is just not an attractive product. The players are beastly and the uniforms are unflattering. It’s also too “combative” for most people to enjoy watching women engage in. It just comes across as unnatural and forced.
Women’s volleyball however is everything wnba isn’t. The girls are often cute and the booty shorts are very appealing. It’s also a much more graceful yet athletic sport. And at the end of the day the girls are girly and cute.
WNBA is just so butch and there is nothing more repulsive than butch lesbians.
