cases went up.

The talking point then went to - but not everyone is wearing a mask.

fricking stupid people. Masks never have worked and never will work. When you take a breath and your glasses fog up, masks aren't going to do shite - shite still comes in and goes out.

Watch masks fade away quickly after the election when the big chain stores no longer require them.

Both made up narratives from thin air. You should stop listening and gain your sanity back. Nobody isn't wearing a mask and everybody thinks they don't do anything.

For the hundredth time, masks do SOME good, but they are not perfect. They prevent the spit particles from flying around. They might reduce the R factor from 1.5 to 1.0.

If it appeases the hypochondriacs and we get to keep businesses open then I’m more than happy to wear a stupid mask.

Pick your battles. They’ll tire themselves out soon enough.

In a perfect world they would do no harm. They would do no good but at least no harm.

In order for a mask to be effective you need to follow a proper protocol.

Proper material.
Handled properly, not touched
Sanitized properly
Stored properly.

Masks are a net negative as utilized in the real world.

Anyone with just a bit of critical thinking skills would recognize this.

Hand washing and not touching your face is enough, however it doesn't have that virtue signaling component.

Masks make people touch their face more than they would otherwise.

Masks cause high risk behavior, face touching.

Once you test positive and ‘recover’ from this Kung flu, do you still have to wear it?

They’ll move on to something else for sure. But they will tire of Covid and masks very soon. BLM is circling the drain.

its willful ignorance at this point, its not a complicated point. its like seat belts and airbags are crumple zones; by themselves theyre good, combine all 3 and theyre great. masks alone dont do much, but combine masks with other steps, and do them consistently, and it makes a real difference.

oh but of course the side who just had their own Red Wedding knows better, the side who doesnt do any of the work isnt getting any of the benefits, and instead of taking responsibility for their actions they blame a mass conspiracy.

Wife and I were in the grocery store wearing our masks.

We walked by the cinnamon brooms and she said wow those smell terrific.

I agreed and pointed out how useless our masks were.

Yes...its kept me, a healthy person, from spreading a virus i don't have to a 400 lb 80 year old asthmatic recovering from stage 4 esophageal cancer from getting it while he purchases a pack of cigs at the gas station.

100% correct. The mask may stop you from spreading the virus if you're contagious. The masks may keep you from inhaling a droplet containing the virus. However, the mask also trap droplets containing the virus. If you touch a mask and touch your face, you're not accomplishing very much.

Moreover, your clothes are a much bigger target for covid coughs and sneezes. Unless you're changing and washing your clothes each time you go from one place to another, you're not preventing "community spread." Mask may reduce spreading the virus to some degree but I doubt it helps all that much. "Mask control the spread" is absolute conjecture based on speculation and "mask intuition."

I'll wear a mask when required. Like someone else said, this isn't a hill I'm going to die on. However, don't expect me to be polite if you can't mind your own fricking business. Stay home if your sick, wash your fricking hands every once in awhile, and be a decent human being by respecting others. Virus politics is worse than SARS-COV2.
