The same odds as Louisiana running a Republican worth a frick.
Louisiana Republicans went full retard and took a page out of the Dems book. We ran a shitty candidate, like they did Hillary, and tried to push it on everyone.
That’s why we went JBE.

Understandable, there's still enough people who reside in the great state of LA who don't suffer from TDS....they were hoping and praying to curtail the progressive madness poised to drag the state in to complete shite hole status.

the problem is incentive and culture. when you pass a certain point, you won't see any improvement. that's why i said we're on the wrong side of the demographic tipping point. even Rispone only said he'd freeze Medicaid and not roll back JBE's expansion completely

Offshore oil dying has nothing to do with the Governor and everything to do with the price of a barrel of oil, just so we are clear.
i didn't say the governor had anything to do with it

LC hasn’t added tens of thousands of jobs. We have added quite a good bit of high paying permanent jobs, but we laid off tens of thousands of workers over the last year due to the jobs being completed.
hence why i said in OP it's coming to an end

What are the chances of a non dem Gov next time around? Will the decline be so bad (and people relocate to other States for jobs) that there is no coming back?
i think a GOP governor can still win for sure but they have to be very moderate and personable with a clear vision
the moderate part means that the leviathan of our state government will continue to restrict any progress

we'll continue to plod along as we adjust from the decline in the last few years from oil production support, but will eventually adjust. we have to, since we don't have productive frack formations here.

doesn't JBE control regulations to kill gas and oil? I heard the Gov of NM is trying to shut down with regs.
Posted on 11/17/19 at 9:20 am to cajunangelle
the biggest allegation against JBE is funding lawsuits against O/G (and, of course, giving the contracts to his friends to litigate). i don't think there are any regulatory issues in play. he'd be DOA if he tried to do that
he did change some tax incentives to give more local control to the exemptions. that bit BR in the arse

yeah he didn't even run on repealing the Medicaid expansion
hardcore Republicans, when your golden boy won't even say he'll roll back Medicaid expansion, he's clearly not committed to your alleged plan(s)

there aren't any
Shut your mouth (tongue-in-cheek)! How dare you say there aren't any oppertunities in Louisiana. That's just not true. Why just the other day I read a story about a giant bust of massage parlors in Lake Charles. Dang the cops raided six of them "dens of iniquity".......six of them. Actually I didn't think there was six of anything left in Lake Charles. So your statement there aren't any economic oppertunites in Lousiana simply isn't true.
As you were.

that sting was actually run by our drug enforcement team so I'm curious what the real origin was/is of that investigation
