Yes, it appears a lot of people missed the opening sentence:

According to Bloomberg, who stresses that the figures quoted are all that could be verified; real numbers are probably higher.

The Rothschilds ... so wealthy they could afford to not be named #1 in their effort to remain in the shadows.

Ok, explain.

That list is worth about $1.5 trillion.

So you're saying the wealthiest families are actually worth multiple trillions. And aren't on this list.

So who are they? And how is their wealth held? Real Estate? Stocks? Bonds? Gold? Diamonds? Who manages the money? Who makes the investment decisions? Who holds the trusts?

Because that much money leaves a trail. It has to be accounted for in some fashion. If it is in illiquid assets that aren't tradeable, then are those assets really that valuable? If it's held in liquid assets with a ready market, then it's part of the modern monetary system. And it can be accounted for.

So which is it? If you know, then be specific.

List must just be the cash they have laying around on hand for when they feel like going full Scrooge McDuck and want to swim in it.

I wonder what happened to the J.P. Morgan descendants. I heard JP Morgan actually bailed out the US Treasury in the 1907 Bankers' Panic and JP Morgan had some secret deal with the federal gov.

I think Vanderbilt was the richest person in the world during this time frame. His descendants have pissed all of it away.

About 8-10 years ago when MBS was transitioning to power in Saud, there was a clip floating around of him doing a photo op in that traditional garb. And all the pcitures were taken and he didn't think any more cameras were rolling. And he turns to one of his aides and says in perfect English "can I take this shite off now?" and someone runs up to him and helps him out of the head dress, and someone else handed him a sport coat. I thought that was pretty telling.

When you have enough money you can make sure your name doesn't appear in any list. Ever.
