I’ve always aligned with conservatives In my opinions but have always been hesitant to identify with a political party, mostly because of how most people are just part of a party and don’t even know what platforms the politicians who receive their vote are running under. But holy shite, this pandemic has brought the disgustingness of the left to even more light than it already was. I’m staggered at how truly delusional and absolutely vile they are. Now I’ll vote in November, not out of spite but out of who I truly think will run this country better, and not out of blind hatred and petulance.

The bigger realization is how easily it is to get the American people in line and bent over

I totally agree with this. If this was the progs Hail Mary before the election and it doesn’t work what will be next for them. They won’t be able to up the ante on the hysteria from here (other hysteria’s being: Russia, immigration, world war 3, impeachment) so the question is what do they resort to from here if trump is re-elected. Unfortunately or fortunately they’ll resort to violence. I really hope this is the beginning of a new republic somehow. A house divided against itself can’t stand, time to have 2 houses.

Please share your success of middle ground with mainstream progressives, asshat. I can at least find middle ground with most people right of center.

I just spent 5 years in college as a non traditional student and was exposed to a lot of them. It’s so much more work and effort for them to see your point and most of the time it’s impossible.

The best part of all of this is it should expedite secession, but we haven’t suffered enough yet.

Soon...

The Greater Good...it’s not on the moral compass for many politicians and about 95% of these Opinion Channels calling themselves News.

If you check your bias at the door, it’s obvious the Democrats would rather destroy America’s infrastructure than have Trump get re-elected. It’s a ruin Trump strategy at ALL COST. Both will likely happen.

Ironically, Donald Trump would not be president but for the fact that this divide had grown so wide.

Demolition can be messy, especially when renovating older houses with mildew and rot.

But people seem to get along better in cleaner, restored environments.

We'll tickle that on the calendar. Hopefully, by that time, most of the Trumpkins will be dead and the conflict will be less idiocratic.

Christianity has had a large influence over the worldviews of even non-Christians for a long time. What we are seeing with the left in America is the result of that influence waning.

I hope God continues to be merciful towards us as more people reject Him and His son. I hope for a reformation of the Church and a change in the culture.

Yeah, but most of you Lefties are impotent Soyboys and the gheys that take it up the azz, so you won't be able to repopulate the country with enough braindead Dems to make up the difference.

This assumes there was ever political cohesion, which is a myth. These arguments go back to the founding of the nation.

The # of people who just immediately and without hesitation gave up all their rights because the TV told them to is absolutely horrifying.

There are political differences and political DIFFERENCES.

A country can handle differences, even bitter ones, as long as there is some common ground on the major fundamentals.

The civil war is a great example of the country disagreeing on BIG fundamentals.

History is full of examples of countries coming apart because the differences internal to them grew too large.

Throughout my entire life the right and the left have opposed each other policy wise, often angrily, but this if the first time that I feel there is an active effort to exterminate the other side.

EXACTLY. We are morally obligated NOT to make peace with the twisted ideology of the statists, authoritarians, do gooders and crony corporatists.

It's very possible you've been serious and thoughtful your entire life, and the unique situation we are in is causing you to be paranoid and silly.

And when you cross the line from "not making peace" to "exterminating", yeah, then we might have something for which to get our panties in a wad.

I agree, but I believe your timeline is wrong. After this next election, it won't take long for the divide to explode.

There is a lot of truth in that post.

What I fear is some democrats start to actually want to get some more of their socialism installed and will start stroking Trump's ego.

Trump just gives me the impression he would melt over positive attention from a democrat.

What do you think Trump's reaction would be if Pelosi in an interview starting talking about how wonderful and good looking Trump is??? She would never do that but I really believe that would work for her with Trump.

If Wolf Blitzer interviewed him and told him how great he is doing CNN would be his favorite network.
