As for him claiming to be a “biographer” for Musk, I can’t find where he’s ever personally talked to Musk. Appears his claims of being a “biographer” come down to just writing panicked, angry articles about Musk, he’s just trying to make it sound like he’s credible.

If he can only become the richest man in the world who launches rockets and helps save the world with his average IQ, it's probably good he isn't a he isn't a genius.

Elon Musk may have been a bright man at one point - I have a lot of respect for what he's done in his PayPal investments (Tesla, SpaceX, etc) - but before he even got more explicitly involved in US politics he seemed to be on a weird mental health spiral. There are rumors that he is a chronic ketamine abuser, again going back to before he made his right wing turn.
I tend to think a lot of this mental health decline has to do with a realization Tesla was at their peak in 2021. I think they sold fewer cars last year than the year prior for the first time in 2024. He's been breaking under the stress of trying to deliver on a frankly overvalued company but his own Steve Jobs-like reality distortion field keeps investor bought in for now.
Is the right wing turn a part of this mental health and drug abuse spiral? I doubt it, he's a weird rich South African white guy. He was likely acting like a worldly granola crunchy centrist liberal because that was his core demographic for his cars. He was probably always roughly like this but just kept it buttoned up for marketing purposes.

His BPD is apparently pretty severe. There will be times when you absolutely would not want to be around him.

He's not a rocket scientist, he's a billionaire investor. He started life on third base and was coming of age when just about any "this thing but on the internet" idea led to you making generational wealth if you could just come to market first with it. He made his billions there with PayPal and ever since he's just bought his way into areas of interest.
Wealth has nothing to do with intelligence. Especially if you already had well-off parents albeit high income earners or truly wealthy. Money just replicates itself once you have it, ya know?

That's really sad. He needs to trust the doctors he can damn well afford to get him balanced out instead of self-medicating. I've had friends try to solve their anxiety problems with marijuana thereby giving themselves even worse anxiety eventually.
There is a reason why you should never represent yourself in court and it is basically the same reason you should not be your own physician. You cannot be the dispassionate third party making the educated decisions no matter how smart your are generally speaking.

Eh, I don't buy this. A lot of things can be treated by one's self. Things like cancer for instance. Depression. Etc.
With a lot of things going to a doctor is only going to make things worse. If I developed cancer today I wouldn't even see an oncologist.

Honestly I don't remember. He has publicly disclosed he is diagnosed with Asperger's and suggested he may also have bipolar disorder, BPD, and a few other things.
Then I read something somewhere by some psychologist who did psychoanalytic treatment who analyzed his public speaking and Twitter tweets who said that his behavior suggested BPD.
Either way he has depressive personality traits and ketamine is the best thing behind shrooms to treat depression.
