So they could do it... and it only takes a majority vote to change the rules... and, as much as they are now pushing for voting by mail and what not, I can't imagine any democrat NOT voting to allow a fellow Senator in quarantine to vote either by proxy or remotely.

Do we know exactly what was in this bill? NGL the GOP passing something that massively favors corporations over workers would not be a surprise at all.

The bill included most things that dems wanted

It was being crafted by senators from both parties

I’m sure there is plenty in it for companies. But if companies don’t get assistance then there won’t be jobs for lots of people to go back to.

Bill should be focused on helping individuals and companies. Not adding shite like $10k off student loans if that was actually something being attempted as an add on. Stuff like delaying student load payments would be more appropriate

Seems to me that the most important thing would be to support the companies by helping them make payroll. Seems like I saw somewhere that they were offered no interest loans to small businesses for just that purpose.... that you in turn didn't have to pay back if you kept all your workers on payroll throughout this. Or something like that.

It would indeed be a reasonable accommodation for the duration of the medical emergency.

And then saw Trump's approval ratings and said to herself "Well, we can't have that now, can we?"

I don’t understand the left screaming about making sure this isn’t a business bailout.

Government is the cause for the business failure. This has nothing to do with the 2008 mess. Business was doing just fine until government decided to shut it down.

If you believe that then you need to pay attention to a few people who do actually buy the dip... warren buffet bought delta airlines on feb 27, I suppose you are smarter than his 60 years of investment knowledge. I prefer to invest like buffet, you will do well if you tried it too .

A good 15% or more of the leftist population is pure evil

Another 20% or more are wholesale brainwashed

I have a leftist neighbor who is a good person deep down, and I mentioned the malaria drug with all the success, and his fairly uneducated arse starts listing all the propaganda talking points against it

Brainwashed AF
