I’m newly Catholic and our church just finished up a program called That Man Is You (under the umbrella of Paradisus Dei, for those who want to check it out). It specifically focuses on every aspect of manhood and being a standup husband, father, provider, protector, faithfulness, strength of mind, spirit and body.

The last Protestant church I attended had a strong men’s ministry. We had regular men’s retreats with speakers on porn addiction, sex, work ethic, parenting, fitness, mixed in with fun guy activities like skeet shooting, etc., basically being a strong Christian MAN. We had father-son camping and canoe trips. I also attended a weekly men’s only Bible study for 5 years.

I agree with OP that the church has been feminized and watered down to a large degree and pastors are afraid to speak up about traditional manhood, but there are churches and independent Christian groups fighting back.

Dude is charged with raping and sex trafficking kids and women. While dude is whining and crying about those charges he gets on twitter and bashes women. He's definitely not the brightest crayon in the box.

Please look into it and see what he is charged with. It has nothing to do with children or trafficking anyone. Read and learn before you speak.

Didn't the southern baptist just have a MASSIVE sexual abuse scandal in the news? Lots of coverups going back to the 60s?

No.

Out of curiosity, why leave this church?

Modern church produces weak men. Read Wild at Heart for details.

We need to be masculine and unapologetic for it. We need our boys playing with guns and getting bloody noses. But also teaching them to protect their family, women and those weaker than themselves.

Everything about our school system is emasculating too.

Tates problem is that he grew up in the projects in the UK.

Middle class people generally won’t like him because of how that shaped his behavior, he’s too lower class in their eyes. He’s not nice.

Growing up lower class probably gave him his outlook on life though. The lower class is the least feminized component of western society, and it’s the one demographic with little to no illusions about life. What makes Tate unusual is his intelligence. His father was apparently a gifted chess player?

Maybe you should follow your own advice. He was charged with trafficking.

quote:

On 13 June, DIICOT adjusted the charges from human trafficking to "human trafficking in continued form", a more serious charge.[117] One additional victim was identified, bringing the total count to seven.[118][9][10] On 20 June, the four accused were indicted on charges of rape, human trafficking, and forming an organised crime group to sexually exploit women. They continue to deny all charges and remain under investigation concerning money laundering and trafficking of minors.[11]

I’ve never ever seen a priest wearing skinny jeans, and I’m friends with several priests.

A gun is a tool just like anything else. With proper training, it’s no more dangerous than many other tools.
You wouldn’t let a young man use a table saw without proper safety precautions and training, and the same is true for guns.
I’ve been around guns my entire life and shot them from an early age. I’ve never had a mishap and my guns have never killed anyone.
P.S., I’ve never lost a finger on a table saw either.

The only perfect man was Jesus.

He had a problem with tax collectors and money exchangers. He threatened to destroy the temple.

He killed a sounder of pigs that were minding their business. (Well that does sound like fun… maybe that’s not so bad.)

He killed a fig tree because it had no fruit (out of season).

He didn’t believe in washing his hands before eating. Apparently he didn’t know about germs.

Jesus said if you believe in him and his father and pray and believe, anything your pray for will come true. Last time I checked, little kids still die of cancer.

Jesus (and Paul) said many in his generation will not experience death because he will be returning within their generation. We’ve been waiting 2000 years…

He foolishly told people to give away their possessions and money and follow him because the world was about to end anyway.

He told his followers they must hate themselves and their families.

He told people to gouge out their eyes if seeing made them list after women.

He was kind of a dick to his disciples in the gospel of Mark. He treated them like idiots most of the time.

Jesus condoned slavery.

In the infancy gospel of Thomas found at Nag Hammadi, Jesus kills like 3 random kids and strikes blind some of their neighbors.

Your post clearly illustrates your misunderstanding of scripture. I’m hoping it’s out of ignorance instead of malice

“great guy other than being absolutely full of shite”

best case scenario he’s a hypocrit dirtbag

worst case scenarios he’s a human trafficker,

no one with a good father is an andrew tate fan. he’s filling a gap for some very dumb lost men.

You know damn well everything I posted is in the Bible, except the one in the infancy gospel of Thomas which I did specify.

Sure they are in the Bible, but you make the mistake many nonbelievers make. You try to interpret things purely from a natural point of view, and ignore the greater spiritual applications.
First, Jesus didn’t come to the earth to change politics or cultural norms, but to die. To die for the sins of humanity. This was his almost exclusive goal, and all else was secondary.
It’s not that Jesus advocated for things like slavery, he simply didn’t waste too much time on temporal things.
Jesus knew that whether a man was free or a slave, both had to be born again or die in their sins. He also knew that if a slave were freed but was never born again, it mattered little in the long term.
Plus, he knew that people, like slaves, who were in desperate states, were more appt to cry out to God for help than those who felt satisfied in their position in life.
That’s why he talks so much about being rich, and about how the rich can’t see the need for help, because they think they lack nothing.
Almost all of your other illustrations make the same point.
The spiritual things in life are more important than the temporal, and a wise man, makes his choices based on the spiritual.

What a wonderful faith lmao.

You can be a total piece of shite and treat people horribly but if you just have faith and believe you get eternal paradise.

Sounds like a joke to me.

The only sin that cannot be atoned for is the sin of rejecting God's Son as Savior. Murder, rape, adultery, etc., can all be forgiven with true repentance.

It really IS a wonderful faith!

His father was a grand master chess player. Very intellectual guy like Tate. Unfortunately he passed 7 years ago.

We don't all need a sky daddy to keep us in line like Perfect Circle does.
