American Left,

I mean, we've all had to live through this. Open borders, keeping black people in drug-infested ghettos and promising them the world if they vote blue, abortion, trans, became very pro-war in Trump's first term when he reduced troops in Syria. Went from being very anti-Iran to very pro-Iran once Trump went after Iran. They are not at all for the common people. They used to actually be for going after big Pharma, going after big corporations buying up all the houses, now they are suddenly against it. The American left only cares for old white boomers.

I get it you are an ignorant leftist with no idea how the real World works. The people who run the business World have always had the power because they have the most skin in the game. Who do want him to take? You? A goofy representative with cartoon glasses so they can appear to be smart? Lol sure thing so that afterwards you can all hold hands in a press conference and look “real serious” while talking about inequality while creating absolutely nothing

It’s quite astonishing to me that a group of billionaire CEOs, funded by taxpayers' money, flying to China to represent the American people, is considered acceptable.

Reasonable people would let the meetings among some the most successful business leaders in the world (billionaire CEOs) take place and then see if the outcomes are helpful or harmful to America & China.

Business delegations between the U.S. and China are pretty common across administrations because major companies engage directly on supply chains, manufacturing, market access, trade relations, tech policy, etc.

It is premature to judge the trip as acceptable or unacceptable when you do not even have access to funding disclosures and can't definitively determine that taxpayers funded billionaire CEOs' travel.

You are looking at it wrong.

Of the Top 10%, 90% of them CREATED their wealth through their self determination, ideas and implementation of those ideas. There wasn't this big pot of money for everyone and they took more than their own fair share. No. They created whatever or managed whatever to build their wealth, not take it away from you or me.

It is not premature to understand WHY the meeting is occurring.

I can tell you that several of the CEO’s are card carrying democrats, so you are being fairly represented. As to why they are going, it is in their own self interest to expand commerce into China. Trump brought them to try and show China they are missing opportunities by limiting the sale of goods in China.

And they down “own” the wealth. It’s always at risk of being lost or made obsolete.

Trolling is the primary purpose of this board. Get with the program. If you are looking for in depth analysis you would do better to consult The Daily Show or South Park or The Babylon Bee. Don't expect in depth thoughtful analysis from retired firemen and refinery technicians or even recovering lawyers. We are the cryptocurrency of political talk.....and we revel in it.

Most discussions are started by X posts with a paid for blue check or a blurb from a YouTube post. Most here don't read all that much hence TL;DR.

It’s ridiculous. I suppose it was also necessary to take most of the family along. I guess Don, Jr. will stare down the Chinese economic team unless they’re distracted while laughing…

Who should we be sending?

AOC types that do not provide any benefit to society?

Maybe homeless fentanyl addicts?

Representatives from companies that provide a big chunk of american jobs seems like a good thing to have there.

look at it this way boy the top 10% of tax filers pay 70% of all income taxes and the top 1% pay 40% of all collected income tax and you pay nothing, you're welcome.

Taxes don't cover the bill. It's paid with money printing, which becomes inflation. The bottom pay the inflation.
