author is pretty cute, surprisingly. looks like she'd be tons of fun and would keep it hairy if you asked.

Canada sent a bunch of planes down to Los Angeles that are capable of scooping up the saltwater in the ocean and then dumping it on the flames. One of my neighbors has a nephew that is in California right now piloting one of these planes.

Brought to you by the same trash level bureaucrats who said Trump didn’t offer national guard protection for J6 or that 51 intel experts signed a piece of paper saying that Hunter Biden laptops were Russian trade craft.

Translation: complete and total bullshite.

So much evidence out there to show Trump/Musk and all other critics correct

State Farm laying out issues in Sept

And Newsome himself writing a letter demanding an explanation of the failures

Saltwater corrodes the pumps is the excuse that they use, but yet we have salt water pool pumps… The second excuse is the salt water kills the vegetation and trees. So they would rather just let it all burn to the ground!

Saltwater pumps are made with stainless steel which is highly resistant to saltwater corrosion. There are also specially designed seals and other components.

Copper and its related alloys, brass and bronze, are often found in pumps that need to resist corrosion. Brass and bronze are especially useful because once they've completed oxidization, they will not rust as they are non-ferrous – that is, they contain no iron.

When this close to the coast why can't hydrant system be swapped to saltwater via pumping stations (yards away) as opposed to empty freshwater reservoirs miles away?

This seems to be the best answer. Boise, ID has a separate set of waterlines you get access to simply for irrigation. I believe it is filtered but non-potable. It’s a brilliant idea.
