Check out the total fertility rates in Spain and Italy, two overwhelmingly Catholic cultures :
And consider that China is on pace to go from 1.4 billion ( not exact ) to down in the 700 millions. A true depopulation bomb.

Lots of "Catholics" use birth control. Our housekeeper, who is more like family now, is from Nicaragua. She professes to be Catholic but had her tubes tied. We're (unexpectedly) expecting our third next month and she keeps trying to convince me to get my tubes tied after the delivery. It's like people forgot that no birth control is part of being Catholic.

Even African countries are experiencing declining birth rates, which is pretty shocking.
I wonder what this will mean for the future.

It's schools and perceived crime.
2020 saw migration everywhere, all blamed on COVID. The reports rarely mentioned that people were fleeing being restricted in urban areas and not being able to send their kids to school. Even less that they were fleeing the riots and crime spikes.
But that's what happened, and anyone who did that journey or live in a neighborhood that turned over on account of it knows it. Nearly our entire friend group in the neighborhood consists of families with young kids who moved from in town Atlanta or other cities in 2020.
Unfortunately, lots of these people will still vote for Democrats.

Tbh, I think cost of living (particularly housing prices) is the number one issue, but bad/unsafe public schools and a lack of safe public spaces are easily #2 and #3. Progressive policies have contributed to all three of these problem areas.

No. I disagree. Look at the areas in the study. All heavy blue areas. All of them.
What they won't say out loud is that their own ideology, the destruction of normal values, has dropped their own reproduction.
The modern, feminist woman, isn't desirable to men for long term. The modern, feminist women, don't want men long term. And they sure won't sacrifice their career to have babies.
Men also don't want to have kids with those women, because they know they'll be paying child support on them when the witch tries to make him her child support retirement plan.

Why even argue this? Progressives aren't reproducing like rats. That's a part of the win.

Cali ain't gonna lose as much tax revenue as it has been from the exodus, without having a plan for why they'd lose it.

China is a bad example tho. China culls their population. Getting rid of female babies, population control, and then there's the mass graves recorded from satellite.
So in my eyes, China reaps what it sows.

Why would anyone want to raise children in many of these crime ridden and overpriced urban areas? I’m not surprised by this at all
