if you are unitarian and/or a universalist, you don't really have a claim to the name of "Christian", considering you have to reject some very important aspects of who Jesus is and what He has accomplished to hold to your beliefs.
Actually, the notion of the Trinity is not explicitly stated anywhere in the New Testament (even after the Trinitarians chose the Books to include). The doctrine is cobbled together from bits and pieces of unrelated verses.

So, such a person would simply be rejecting one interpretation of Scripture (formulated by Man) in favor of another interpretation (also formulated by different Men), rather than accepting that first interpretation is if the interpretation were Scripture itself.

Your response is a perfect example of No True Scotsman.

So when a lowlife is trying to break into your home are you going to consult the flowchart? If so you may need the funeral home not mediation.

This is meant for people who call the cops because a store won’t validate their coupon, because teens are making too much noise at the community pool on a Saturday afternoon, because their neighbor isn’t trimming their hedges, because guests are parking on the street in front of their yard, or because one of their neighbors has a loud party, etc.

Uhhhhh, no it's not. Read the words not just the flow chart. It is because police is steeped in white Supremacy.
While the flow chart would work in many cases, the reason is not for what you think it is.

quote:

We also want to avoid involving the police, if possible, as policing in this country is also steeped in white supremacy and oppressive violence, and there are alternatives that make us all more safe.

So hell with them. And has others have said, something I labored for does not give someone the right to steal from me.

We live in a society. To live in the society you have to follow the rules.

You break the rules like try to hurt me or steal my property, and I'll legally allowed to put said person down, if I'm able to, I will put them down.

Ah yes. The Unitarian church. It's social hour for the earthiest, crunchiest old White Boomers, and they usually set up shop in predominantly white, liberal enclaves.

There's been one in Fayetteville forever.

So are they pandering so hard that this folks just asked us to think twice about calling the cops on the only violence they call out…

Sorry I’m not Unitarian.
If someone decides to rob me I will point to the household that are Unitarian and say those people will not put up a fight.

They are just another marxist group mascaraing as a religion.

They basically don't care what you believe or don't believe in regarding religion, as long as you believe and practice their 7 tenets/principles

which are marxist at their core, but with some touchy feely BS poured on top

Sorry my property = my labor or the labor of my family and friends.

And the most important part of your labor was the time. When they steal your labor/property they have robbed you of part of your life.

Therefore they forfeit theirs when they take mine.

The notion of the trinity is explicit. The term, though, is not.

You make it seem like it could go either way and that the Church just landed on the trinity being a Christian concept because that side was just larger at the time. No, there is good, biblical reasoning for why the doctrine exists and why it is a necessary belief to adhere to. It matters that Jesus is God (part of the trinity). It matters that the Holy Spirit is God. There are valid reasons for it and theological repercussions of it.

Not at all. The No True Scotsman fallacy is a fallacy because it is arbitrary. It's based on a preference rather than reasoning. There is no standard for what a "true Scotsman" is, which is why the fallacy is what it is. However, there is a standard for what a true Christian is, and it is derived from the scriptures. That's important because if the scriptures are God's infallible and inerrant word, then it provides a perfect standard to judge what a Christian is.

Seems like the diagram of everyone's thought process when they are victims of a crime. I'm not really sure what the point is.

When the state does not provide justice (which is one of their only true responsibilities), then those who want justice will search for other means to get it. The long-term implications of not getting the police involved will be even worse than calling the police.

Well put!

Self defense and justice are hard wired into humans.

And if the state isn't up to it, the people will come up with their own solutions.

I don't have a problem with the sign.

It is something all the so-called "Karen's" should read.

Do you REALLY have to call 911 when you get 19 instead of 20 mcnuggets at McDonalds?

And if you do, realize you will be asked for id, to give a statement, maybe called to testify, you won't be walking away from this with just a call and bitch out session to the cops that show up.

Don't be naïve. They didn't come up with this chart for situations like you are describing.
