What is the concern?

MAGA grandmas will have trouble car jacking college kids?

MAGA dads won't be able to sell fentanyl at the subdivision exit?

So no National Guard? What is your solution, when the local police chief & union says that they are "overwhelmed"? In California, from what I saw, the National Guard troops were simply standing in a semi circle behind the ICE & local LEO's as they conducted their raids. Not involved with arresting / cuffing any illegals. Just protecting those LEO's from interference by outsiders. Is D.C any different? Not sure to be honest.

You don't deserve downvotes for stating the truth. But we can't really just let the Democrat cities continue to slide into chaotic violence and dysfunction forever, either. At some point we have to reclaim our greatest historical cities and bring them back to life. Especially our nation's capital. That that is a radical notion illustrates our enormous cultural decline,

Way to prove the OP right about setting precedent.

I'm old enough to remember Biden make the same claim about MAGA folks.

This is the only response. It ends the discussion for this thread.

Most of these were discredited for spreading Trump BS

Bannon of course stole money from you dupes to build a wall
but you still love him.

Who has served him from the first admin and gotten out with his/her reputation. Only Miller who never had a reputation

Even Melania stays away

It's really not.

It's long overdue and much needed.

When the left and criminals have something to fear, instead of running rogue through urban and suburban America as they've been accustomed to since Obama, then we are at the start of getting shite back in line.

The biden administration used corrupt AGs and DAs to attack Trump.

The door of abuse has been kicked down by the Dems.
So... use precedent for current abuses? Another proof the OP is right.

There's a long history of Democrats federalizing the Guard this is nothing new.

It's been done before obviously. It's not precedent. Eisenhower did it way back in 1958 in Little Rock Arkansas. So STFU with the handwringing.

Almost every authoritarian government in history has been popularly elected to solve "problems". It's the Muslim playbook. They start chaos in countries, and people beg them to restore order.

Absolutely. Where are the 2A folks?

Very true. But we should be careful letting the government direct the culture with force. We need to fix the culture, and that's up to us. Just something to think about.

This particular argument is tired and has been an albatross around the necks of any practical actions to address real problems.

Furthermore, the left has crossed all of these boundaries. They certainly arent waiting for republicans to do anything.

When have the democrats held back because of what the Republicans do?

No, but being afraid to act because of what the left may do when they return to power is an impotent way to govern.

The political right must understand that the left is going to do what they want regardless.

In situations like this, it's worth aking "was it a good idea when democrats did it?" I won't answer for you.

It’s an extremely naive position to take. To think the Dems won’t do whatever they want whenever they want when in power regardless of what republicans do. Perhaps you shouldn’t take a victory lap on your ability to comprehend when you’re taking the position of someone ignorant to history.
