I see things moving in a positive direction economically, but I wouldn’t exactly spike the football saying things are great out there right now.

Poor baby...you can't even realize the difference of affordability and pricing.

A 280k home can easily go for 300k, if interest rates are lower, tax relief of mortgage or interest payments, insurance rates etc etc

So prices can organically rise while remaining affordable t o buyers

Banning stock trading for Congress

I love this. The fact that we continue to elect people who want to allow unfettered insider trading for members of congress is an indictment of the citizens.

I’d even take it a step further. First degree family members would be included in the ban and it would continue for 5 years after they leave office.

More leftist lies. TrumpRX has made amazing deals with some of the best pharmaceutical companies in the world.

GoodRX is a joke.

So the Republicans are cooked? 3 of these will not happen by midterms if ever.

Oh really? What about this promise?

“I don’t want to drive housing prices down. I want to drive housing prices up for people that own their homes, and they can be assured that’s what’s going to happen,” Trump told his Cabinet on Jan. 29.

Simple. Trump wants existing housing to appreciate, as it has in America for most of the past 80 years. Making entry level housing affordable is about building new stocks of housing that are suitable for entry-level homes, city apartments, etc. These are compatible plans.

These are the midterm strategy points according to OP, i.e., "the message".

- Housing affordability

- Banning stock trading for Congress

I don't see anything there about forcing regime change in Iran.

How would an attempt to force regime change in Iran affect the midterms?

So you think an attempt to force regime change in Iran will have a positive effect on the midterms?

The biggest foul I see from Republicans and conservative media people is that they focus too much time on Democrats and liberals and never on conservative issues and wins

We get to hear nothing but liberal viewpoints from the MSM and liberal network programming, then when we go to a conservative outlet, they are talking about Democrats and crazy liberal policies. No one is talking about why conservative views are right for society, no one is playing sound clips of Republican politicians speaking to conservative viewpoints. It's all Democrats video and sound clips.

The Republicans are always fighting against the Democrats because that is all they focus on until elections and then they have to campaign from the anti Democrat position instead of pro conservative policies

If you're food server relying on tips, congrats. I guess.

Kiplinger's:

quote:

According to separate analyses by the CBO and the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT), the benefits from this tax law aren’t spread evenly.

People with higher incomes are expected to receive the most significant tax breaks, while many lower-income households might see their overall resources decrease.

Middle-income families could experience small gains or losses, depending on their individual circumstances.

So mixed.

He giveth (lolliops and chicken bones to us) . And he taketh away (gifts carte blanche to his corporate pals and the MIC.)

-- 'Big Beautiful Bill' (budget HIKES the already $39 trillion deficit) -- massacring any tax savings by kicking the can down the road.

-- Trump's Tech Bros are also massacring the tax-payer by allowing AI Tech Centers to be built EVERYWHERE, raising water / electric costs for EVERYONE. While destroying the standard of living

-- Trump's proposed raising the Defense Budget by $500 Billion -- who do you think will be paying for THAT??

-- Trump's military / war excursions and occupations -- Gaza. Iran. Venezuela. Yemen -- who do you think is paying for that BS?

-- Still skyrocketing Costs of Living (food, housing, medical, education.) The Emperor's Dept of Propaganda tried to put lipstick on a pig by citing fairy-tale "reports" that "Things are great!"

So any thoughts on Trump's own words about suddenly wanting to make housing "affordable"?

Oh wait. Reminder: Trump to his Cabinet on Jan. 29, 2026:

“I don’t want to drive housing prices down. I want to drive housing prices up for people that own their homes, and they can be assured that’s what’s going to happen."

Is he bi-polar? Or just confused?

Yeah, but the Praetorian Gatekeepers don't care. That was so long ago, waaaay back on January, 29.
