Portland has gotten so much more brown in the 7 years ive been here. There's definitely a lag in the numbers. Im often a minority in Beaverton. Tons of Indians and Asians that have been hired by Nike and Intel and refugees from Africa when I go to get my US Gulf shrimp at Winco (local discount supermarket).

When you go from leaving your windows cocked open to get some fresh air at night and maybe left your garage door open in the day to never open the windows and if you left your garage door open all your shittes gone when you get home, it's time to leave. White folks are headed where you don't need a half a dozen cameras on your house.

I’m not saying there aren’t expensive places to live in cities. But there are expensive places not in major cities.


And for your scenario to work that means all the non whites can afford to live in the city and all the whites are broke and have to move further away.


But that’s not true either.





If you are single and working in New Orleans. It’s probably cheaper to just find a smaller place there with a short commute to work than buying a house in mandeville and driving across the lake every weekday.
