Assuming BO wasn't actually spit out in Hawaii tt's much more likely that BO got a birth certificate retroactively. Hawaii allowed this until 1972.

Former Hawaii gov Neil Abercrombie was allowed access to Kapiolani hospital records to once and for all shut up those stupid birthers and clear his old friend Barry's name...but that didn't work out so well. Turned out there was no record anywhere to be found at the time. Neil told a buddy the story on the golf course. The buddy taking it lightly I guess then freely told the story on a morning radio talk show. That quickly raised eyebrows and he immediately he backtracked recanting and claiming it wasn't so.

I never understood why providing a birth certificate, and full verifiable citizenry to be one a presidential/VP candidate.
