But why do they have to pay the racist guy to expose racist groups?
They got inside information about the various groups. Even the government doesn't deny this in the indictment.

Some of them would want to fake hate crimes as long as it makes their side look good.
There are no allegations the SPLC "faked hate crimes" in the indictment.

I don't think the SPLC donors will consider this to be fraud.
It doesn’t matter what the donors think. The fraud targeted by the indictment was the Shell entities created (improperly, as they didn’t follow proper procedures to form them) then representing to banks that they were properly formed and using money deposited by them into those accounts to then pay those people. Why they did it doesn’t matter

Isn't that the point of the SPLC? To expose racist groups?
Who could have guessed this guy…
.. is a racist?
Sure am glad the SPLC paid this guy, who regularly gives public speeches where he spews overtly racist messages, $70,000 to tell them he and his organization is indeed racist.
Money well spent, SPLC.

Do you think any of the $70k they gave this guy was used to further promote racist ideologies?
He was a leader/founder of one of the groups SLPC reported on.
The pivot here is crazy.

I imagine as this story unfolds and we get their side of the story that will become more clear.
But until then youre going to mindlessly defend the group thats gleefully tracking the white population's decline in America.
Got it.

What did they expose exactly?
Here is the article
Everything you listed is public information. How did they expose it? And why did they have to pay him $70,000 to do so?

He would’ve given them the information for $500. But then his organization might have run out of gas early.
It would be interesting to see the ROI on a report. They announce racist group XYZ, send out the newsletter and how much money comes in.

He’s working overtime on this topic. You have to wonder if he’s being paid

He won’t stop defending them after the full story is out.

THAT is a different set of charges and one I said was strong.

This has nothing to do with the feelings of donors.
Which is what you asked.
The point is you didn't have to pay someone $70k between 2014-2016 to expose racist groups. Then this guy starts another racist group in 2016.

Correcting dishonesty =/= defending the SPLC

Why would donors consider something that didn't happen an act of fraud?

No just countering dishonesty like this

It was all fake...This, Antifa and the summer of love. I bet they are tied to the Palestine college campus protests.
and this

the SPLC—the group that planned, organized, & paid for the Charlottesville white supremacist rally.

Your original narrative was these are likely flunkies who are being paid for info.
Now we have the leader of one of SLPC hate groups being funded by them, you’re pretending this still fits exactly what your original premise was.

Exactly. As I pointed out earlier, paying this guy $70K to expose the fact he and his group is racist is akin to paying a McDonald’s worker $70K to expose the fact McDonalds sells Big Macs.
That $70K they paid him and other hate groups went to fund those hate groups. They even used an informant to help plan and organize the whole Charlottesville riot. They’re manufacturing the very racism and white supremely they claim to be fighting.

Correcting dishonesty
You were asked what information were they paying for and you said that we'll have to wait for their side of the story.
Why even assert that they're paying for information if you don't even know if thats true?
Honestly, they've paid, minimum, 3 million dollars for "information". Show me what it's done? Where are the bombshells?

yikes
You don't have to defend them.
