The Roger Stone sentencing was 100% a set up.

They knew that the 7-9 years was ridiculous and excessive.

They knew that Barr would have no choice but to step in and do something.

And they knew Trump would not be able to stop from commenting on it.

And here we are. They get another talking point, another absurd inquiry. All 100% manufactured.

That's switching nobody's mind on ANYTHING. Hey, but it doesn't look like that's gonna stop anybody at any point anytime soon.

Let's assume you are correct, why is it legal for these things to keep happening?

why do the Democrats get to wreck shop on Trump 24/7 and force him to prove his innocence?

I don't understand why people aren't going to jail after the Russian Collusion hoax, the fake impeachment...

I am not disagreeing with you at all, I just want to understand how with so many laws on the books, this kind of abuse is allowed

At this point, it is mainly busy work to keep their retarded caucus engaged on OMB rather than screaming at the Dems for being fricking incompetent.

"Trap" implies he's somehow been "caught." In what?

was it the sentence, or the sentence recommendation? There is nothing that says the judge is obligated to adhere to that for sentencing, is there?

In a DC court you could convict a white republican of being a black witch if you wanted to

The entire town is the worst of the worst filth

Prosecutor, judge, jury, law enforcement of your enemies

Correct. It's in the same set of laws that says anyone, including the president, can't comment on such a recommendation however they see fit.

Judges are too obligated to adhere to sentencing guidelines in federal court; it’s not like state court in that regard. That’s why you have guys doing 20 years for possession of 50 grams crack and a gun, and someone doing 7 years for robbing a bank with a gun. I’ve heard federal judges express regret to defendants in court because their hands were tied.

No, they are not obligated to. However, they generally do take that recommendation into account and often sentence based strictly on what the prosecution recommends.

I call BS

There is a lot a federal judge could do

Including telling the prosecution they will just toss the case out completely if they dont find a more suitable charge.

My hands are tied my arse.

Don’t give a shite if it was a setup. A decade in prison for such a ticky tack ‘crime’ is outrageous. Especially given that fact that people like Hillary Clinton got away with a lot worse.

And Swallowell dropping the bomb that this is grounds for another impeachment inquiry yesterday. It was definitely a set-up.

Just coming to post this. The talking points are out.

100% a set up. They are so goddamned predictable.
