IIRC, at min. 4 or 5 earlier in day from same runway, course, altitude etc.

And every single time there is a controversial downed flight someone comes along to parade this "Occam's Razor" driven logic. Dictating to everyone else that assassinations don't happen. And in the end, nobody truly questions the status quo.

But "Question Everything!" and "THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES!!" is just as bad on the opposite side. Until someone proves it wasn't, many people will accept that it was an accident. Could it have been on purpose? Sure, but outside of what amounts to Tom Clancy fan fiction, there is no proof of that.

I just want to emphasize that my original post was not implying some sort of conspiracy. Rather it highlights the level of incompetence or maybe more significantly the lack of actual control the Iranian government has

Your vehemence is actually laughable. Its as if that you think you have some 'special knowledge' on this incident. All you really have is a tendency to be lulled in by conspiracies.
But you know what... I don't have any special knowledge either. I have no clandestine sources. My opinion is as knowledge-based as yours is.
However, my conclusion, given all the available data, is the only logical one. Yours is based on some hair-tingling or some need to prove you know something all of us are too dumb to know. In other words... you are full of shite.

As soon as those missiles were fired, the FAA issued a flight ban for all U.S. planes. No American aircraft was allowed anywhere near Iraq, Iran, the Persian Gulf, or the Gulf of Oman.

Everythying is still grounded including aramco aviation and it is a PITA right now.
