I understood. Every time anything is posted that isn't worship of Trump, MAGA flocks to threads to respond WHAT ABOUT LIBS/DEMS/OBAMA/KAMALA?

It is literally impossible to discuss anything because it all boils down to "oh yeah? What about democrats?!"

I don't GAF about republicans or democrats. They are all the same.

I wouldn’t describe them as cowards, certainly not for the reasons onion intended and I’m sure as you do, but rather career seeking grifters who have narcissistic personalities that constantly prove how ignorant their constituents are

It's not an either/or thing. They are all of the above.

Because you are being a hypocritical piece of shite and you have little knowledge of what you're trying to speak on.

The Onion is like SNL. A legacy comedy institution that is no longer funny. They attempt the kind of "comedy" that isn't seeking laughs, but instead token applause.

You posted an unfunny onion piece that was ran in the times. What are you wanting to discuss? The lack of humor in the article?

quote:

If only that were true. The irony you post this after starting a thread about a leftist satire article running in a leftist fake news website.

I bet the onion editorial board looks similar to the reddit mod reunion.

because it is literally the point of the reaction of the dems to what trump did.

trump authorized strikes without congressional approval? trump bad

obama authorized strikes all over the middle east without said approval? crickets

so your reaction and outrage or lack of it to both is a very key indicator as to what side you are on.

you squarely do care about which side does what, and don't care about what the other side is doing

I'm not implying anything other than to ask you what do you think Congress should be acting on. You said it, care to explain?

I agree with the piece. Congress hasn't done much other than cash their paychecks and occasionally tweet something (maybe even in ALL CAPS). I would like them to continue doing just that and nothing more.

Ok? Then take it up with them. I haven't responded to posts with "What about [insert name or party here]?"

If you are frustrated with another poster who does that, I encourage you to respond to his posts that way.

I don't have a time machine. I can't go back to Obama's term to start threads about the things you don't like. The reality is that I didn't post here for the majority of Obama's tenure. I took a ten-year break from here. When I was posting during Obama's tenure, I was a Republican so I wasn't supportive of anything he did.

Ok, then why did you call them out as "too afraid to act" if that's what you want them to do?

I didn't claim it was funny. You are really bothered by this thread.

Congress's recent history of inaction.

Can you provide a list of the acceptable topics I'm allowed to post about in your eyes? I will also need a list of acceptable websites I can source from as to not offend your sensibilities.

Let's see, as a couple have already pointed out the Onion had nothing to say when Obama authorized airstrikes.

I also don't remember the Onion having any concern when personal liberties were being trampled during Covid.

But now they're deathly afraid for our republic and civil liberties?

Nope, I'm not buying it. Not at all

Yes it did. I realize how important these articles are to you, so I'm posting them below for your convenience.

Can you explain why it's important for you to deflect the conversation to articles the Onion did or did not publish years ago? I am having a hard time connecting the dots. These "What aboutisms" are hard for me to follow.

Is that what you took away from the op-ed?
