Last time I checked, Trump wasn't a board-certified virologist. As a matter of fact, he's bound by law to put the most qualified people in charge, in a national emergency. Clearing the regulatory hurdles for the vaccine to be developed, etc.
If the vaccines are dangerous (they are), and were sandbagged to be released once the fraudulent election was called in a partisan attempt to shift the "credit" to Biden, I'm not quite sure what level of oversight you're expecting Trump to have.
From where I'm sitting, he paved the way for the #1 virologist and the various pharma companies to do the right thing. Instead, they implemented production of a population control mRNA bioweapon that provides ZERO protection against the COVID virus (which has never been isolated, btw).
It's worth noting that a year after the Big Pharma bioweapon injections were rolled out, it was quietly announced that the DOD had their own multi-strain vaccine that had been developed in parallel with the Operation Warp Speed private sector mRNA bioweapon shots.
Since it wasn't on your nightly news, this might've gone right under the radar for some of y'all.

"I'm in their way" implies that he's some protection for us, which is silly. He's a distraction which may draw their fire, but he's not fighting for people like me and he won't do much to save my family from being targeted.

If Hillary had won in '16, the game would be over - they would have 'got you' already and trump would not be a 'thing' to them anymore - nothing he could do about it on the outside.
Our only hope to maintain our 'republic' (what the 'save our democracy' people get wrong) is to have trump do a top-down cleansing. In his first term he didn't have a chance - I am amazed he got as far as he did with all the internal friction and outright seditious activity he had to overcome.
Now - he knows the system is rigged. And if somehow he can get back in there he knows where the big traps are - and who can be trusted and who needs to be sacked immediately.
IF the DEMs get another 4 years, it will be all over - they are doing the same thing now - and are 12 years into their plan (Obama plus biden) - another 4 years and it will be unrecoverable - that is what they were counting on Hillary to do - take out all opposition.
Without a strong figure in charge - meaning someone who cannot be intimidated - they will have zero trouble coming after the 'rest of us'

I got Trump - nobody else has the personal financial assets to wither the first charge.
If not for that, there are many people I'd be comfortable with in place of Trump = but only if we have a moral opposition.
As long as the opposition is morally evil - we need a good guy who is as close to satan himself as we can get to wither the storm.
it is a binary choice - either we win or we die = period. and winning only gives us another chance to avoid the evil we are facing - nobody can root it all out in one term.
but this is our last chance.
