The one person New Orleans deserves announces he is running for Mayor

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Councilmember Oliver Thomas has announced his candidacy for mayor of New Orleans.
He officially announced it with a video and news release, touting his 30 years of community service and work representing District E. His district includes the Lower 9th Ward and New Orleans East.
He joins City Councilmember Helena Moreno and former Orleans Parish Criminal Court judge Arthur Hunter in the race to replace Mayor LaToya Cantrell.
Thomas pleaded guilty in 2007 to accepting a bribe from a businessman while he was serving as a city council member. He served two years in federal prison.
